Topic: Problem.

Okay, check this. I've got a Maglite (3D if you're wondering), and a battery stuck in it, which I can't get out. Any ideas? big_smile

Hammer.

Re: Problem.

I'd prefer a somewhat non-destructive method. smile

Morbo: Morbo can't understand his teleprompter. He forgot how you say that letter that looks like a man with a hat.
Linda: It's a 't'. It goes "tuh".
Morbo: Hello, little man. I will destroy you!!

Re: Problem.

Tap the assembly against something hard but will not mar the surface, such as a 2 x 4. I would assume the battery has leaked, and has fused to the housing.

I would suggest cleaning after removal to reduce chance of this occurring again.

or

If the battery is big enough using a screw driver pry open one end of it, then what should be inside is about 8-15 smaller batterys, these should be sufficient enough to power the light

Re: Problem.

I've tried tapping it against something hard, and that's how I got one of them out. It's the last one that's the problem. I'm afraid of tapping is too hard against something that I might end up denting the flashlight. However, if nothing else works I'll try going at it at bit harder tomorrow.

A screwdriver won't help because it's too far back to reach it.

Now the link you provided won't help that much, because it's at Maglite 3D, and not at Maglite Mini. The 3D uses 3 D cell batteries, which are rather larger than a AAA battery. smile

WD40   (or lubricating oil spray)  worked for me once & it didnt fry the circuit

Re: Problem.

Yay, baking coda worked. big_smile

A teaspoon and fill it up with water and just let it sit 10-20 minutes. Afterwards just tap it out, against something hard.

Was it necessary to start with "okay, check this"? Who are you, 50 Cent? Especially when you are going to talk about something as non interesting as a battery being stuck in a torch.
