I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

Can we get a 24 hr extension?   Kind of a rush trying to get roles and strategy in 24 hours ... Or even less with some players not joining till later.

That would be good in my book as well. Right now, I've got 1 other active player lol. We are currently planning a 2 man start out of 8....

Galaxy is now full.

Do you guys have any interest in letting families grow continually?  As in, every fam gains another spot every time the galaxy fills up (maybe with a reasonable cap)?

I'm not sure if I like the idea myself, but it is an option if you guys want it.

Is it just me or is the round going to be too long?  Most fams have already fought and are napped up... seems like a long time to wait for the 43/47 EOR showdown.

It's one of the three things we discussed in the other thread already.
It's either too long, or the galaxy is too small.

Because of the smaller galaxy plus increased starting resources, battles started earlier. With the six weeks round, thats just too much.

But then again, I'd expect you to be enjoying it Pickle, being on top and all wink

Lol, we already fought just about everyone except 43 ... and even the ones we did fight we were much bigger so felt bad and stopped early.  It will be an extremely boring 4 - 5 weeks and the galaxy will go inactive.

Ppl have already been going inactive, why continue to play, when all your doing is for not, or to be farmed by family's you can't defend from, or have the planets blow up, and lose all infrastructure anyway.

The attack % should be jumped to 75%, and should take in the size of the whole family, not just the attacking players size in said family.

After all, we all know the smaller families were the ones who didn't get setup at the start due to inactivity from those in it because they didn't land in a family they wanted, or waited for others to take the lead, or for REASONS of being a multiple account

We can point fingers at this or that, but what it boils down to is we're limping along the edge of the black hole, just waiting to be sucked in. Unless you up your game in the attacking %, and truly make it a military strategy base game.

Also would you be able to make it so there are no shared systems.

No 2 family's can share the same system by exploring into it, but to do so would trigger an automatic war response from the family first in there, and must be dealt with within 24hr time period
Or the first family will lose their planet in that system, giving it up to the 2nd

Who cares if you have inactives... with such a small galaxy having more players isn't as big of a benefit as it would normally be.

Hell, Flip and I ran a two man fam last round, were able to defend ourselves and won the round  in NW by a lot.

I have lightly skimmed on smaller fams for spread and offered generous pnaps right away... it's not my fault you aren't putting as much into the round as I am.

I do agree with both of you on several points. The forced randomming is one thing that I do believe has big pro's and con's, and indeed one of the cons is people land in a fam where there is no chemistry, that means everyone goes inactive.

Higher limit for attacks? Nonsense. It's already to high in my opinion. It's a war game, you have morale on your side as small fam, and morale is already a bitch. Eventually it all boils down to activity and strategy, which Pickles did very well in the beginning of the round - using the fact that there was no no-agression period.
