Yes it sucks that an entire day of progress ingame was lost and it ruined many relatively large strategies for a large number of people. However, losing one day out of an over 40 day long round is a drop in the bucket of the work and time that has gone into the entire round. Everyone has been playing with the original target end date in mind and ending a galaxy early because of a major hiccup would throw away weeks of players' time with no satisfaction. Everyone can adjust to this and we can end rounds as expected on a hopefully good note rather than abruptly throwing it away.
Everybody was affected. It sucks more so for some than others, but there's no reason to reset the gals. I wouldn't play again if I just wasted weeks just for an abrupt end...
While everyone is affected, it messes up the now balance because people who had plans and were acting on them now are known. The intentions, methods, everything. This causes the strategy that was in place, working or not, is gone. The disadvantage here is when the rollback happened. This substantial a rollback should instantly reset all galaxies to me. But if not all, at least the ones that are deep into the rounds.

Exactly the reason for me to vote end.
We all played for weeks, we all had many many plans made and executed over those weeks. It's a shame one got messed up for some people, but shit happens. No need to waste all that time by just resetting everything.
Balance is messed up when somebody gets lucky and gets a lot of good randoms in a family. Balance is messed up when some people get shitty planet sizes and some get good planet sizes. Balanced is messed up when someone gets a great starting location. Deal with it and move on.
People talk about these glorious plans that got ruined, and it just turned out to be an op jump and some ops. That can still happen, maybe not as easily anymore, but you can still execute the plan.
Especially in Andromeda, that galaxy is in such an early stage what major events unfolded that aren't still happening?

-Expo raids revealed (not possible anymore)
-Sabs rerevealed (not possible anymore)
-Outpost not portalling anymore (enemy knows what to sent now)
-27hour ofset that complete messes up war plans (no one availeble).
-system loss because ports are now known
Very little of that applies to a very small group of people and most of it is overcomeable.
And it's not equal to having to replay the first 11 days of the round + 5 days to fill the galaxy up again...
This just seems like a way of trying to get away from a bad start in Andromeda. Nothing was effected that much. Explo wars are still ongoing, those havent stopped.
? PI think half of the "end" voters had a bad start and the other half honestly feels this rollback has intruduced such a big disadvantage them they rather start over.
About ending mw and nova. I feel those rounds are pretty much decided already.

It's not only about winning. There are more reasons to play (*cough especially since the only way to win mw is to farm others deep into the ground *cough)

People attack in MW? I thought it was just ops lol
by ending early will it effect the stay in family rounds?
by ending early will it effect the stay in family rounds?
It shouldn't imo. I feel some if not alot of votes are just "i'm in a crappy family so lets restart" votes.
Actually I voted to end early out of anger.... And when that anger ran off, I voted to leave it alone.
I wonder if others will do the same.
"Reset All Galaxies" vote got screwed up by removing the SN option. It was @ 17 before the edit.
Update: The proper vote counts have been restored.
Some additional updates:
Any galaxies that do end will not end immediately after the vote closes. We'll give players time to prep for the change in end dates.
On that note, SN is about to end anyway, so considering the above point it will not be affected by this vote and will end as expected. The SN vote option has been removed (and it screwed up the vote data, hooray).
Also, this vote is to gather feedback and help players have input in the decision making process. That said, as with all of our votes it is *not* binding, meaning that even if a certain option "wins" it is not guaranteed to be what actually happens.
This will surely annoy some players, but there is enough presence of don't-reset voters that we should consider their opinion before making a permanent decision. If it was a landslide result we'd likely have made a decision already but that is clearly not the case.
Lastly, to clear up some misinformation: galaxies were only affected *after* the bad update. There have been grumblings that Andro in particular needs to be reset because "the top fam cheated their way to the top". There is no proof of this. The bad update was not out long enough to allow players to reap significant rewards from the exploit. It was caught and rolled-back prior to any gains, let alone any significant gains.
A lot of people have quit playing in anticipation of a reset. A decision should hopefully be reached quickly so we aren't all sitting here in limbo.
That...seems a poor competitive decision seeing as it probably won't get reset ![]()
For Andro I think either way it's ok.
A thing to consider if you reset all galaxies, is that they will all start at the same time then... I don't really like playing 2 rounds that are in the same phases...
LoL, poll is bugged.
63%
(12)Don't end any galaxies early.
121%
(23)End All Galaxies Early
Votes: 19
Votes add up to 35 instead of 19. Percentages add up to 184% instead of 100%
Yeah, they won't all get reset at once. Nor will any of them end without at least a few days' notice.
I'm aiming to make a decision by end of week.
Well since end round early has 50% more votes than don't end all galaxies, my fam at least assumed it was getting reset and nobody is playing. But now Pie is saying just because the vote wins, it doesn't mean that will happen ... we are getting double screwed. I picked the wrong time to come back to this game.
