Topic: Public Empire History

For some context about this and other changes on the way, please see this thread:

Exposing Game Data

The empire page just got this treatment.  Note, this is not *all* empire info that is public, just the successful incoming/outgoing attacks.  This is the same stuff you can see in the attack-ticker, just now listed with planet coords and permanently archived.

This may change depending on other planned features and of course, player feedback.

The other change is that this information is now available without having to log in.  This is the start of a move towards making IC a game for spectators as well.

This is a fairly drastic change to how accessible battle information is.  There are pros and cons to this from a game design perspective as it has a non-trivial impact on strategy.

Feedback is welcome.

Re: Public Empire History

I think this is pretty not good, this is what monitoring peoples infils/FTP's/monitoring the map is supposed to do.

But I digress as this is not what my post is about!

I can't remember what the button was called, but you used to be able to check someones IC Profile/history.  That button has disappeared with this change.  Is that on purpose?

Re: Public Empire History

Also, if you click someones empire, then try to click their race from that page you get 'No input file specified. '
