Yes, I'm aware.  Unfortunately due to our polling limitation the only way to get a true majority amongst narrowed options would be to have several iterations of voting rounds.  We simply don't have time for that if we want to open registration on time.

It is also flawed because it ignores the opinion of people who don't read the forums.  The results are weighted towards a particular type of player which further skews the galaxy's direction.  Furthermore, it would be better if the poll was "blind" so that players aren't biased towards what they perceive as the majority opinion.

This is actually a fairly bad polling process, but it's better than no polling process which is what we had before.  In the future we will have a better way to do this, but for now we need to move with what we have in order to not have a registration delay.

As for your suggested set up: some of that isn't possible without code changes which won't happen in time.  This is why the choices were presented as they were: you guys are seeing the options that are available to mods when they set up galaxies.

The proposed set up isn't set in stone, but it will only be adjusted within the scope of existing settings.  In other words: the only thing that may change is choosing something else amongst the already existing poll options.
