Topic: Sidebar Optimization

The aim of these changes is to remove the need to do extra clicks to get to important pages, as well as make them more visible/easier to find to newer players.  We do this by adding these important pages to the sidebar!

Family
-Aid
-News
-Forums
-Foreign Relations (remove the bigger foreign relations tab obviously)

(if 4 tabs below family looks ugly you could consider putting them small and like this:
Family
-Aid      -Forums
-News  -Relations

Military
-Units (this is where you build units)
-Ops
-Spells
(you could combine ops+spells in to one page like it used to be if you want to remove a tab

Empire
-News
-Council
-Science

Also, add morale to the top where resources are.  Not sure why that got taken out yikes

Space issues on mobile.  It squishes together and stacks vertically, messing up the rest of the page.  That's a general design problem overall; having a single unified design that works well on mobile, desktop, and everything in between.

Undeath had a great idea here in that the resource bar should be configurable.  As in, if you're an attacker you probably want population and morale visible more than you want to see your available resources.

Something like that is in the works, but not quite ready yet.  In the meantime, re-adding morale will break the design on phones so it'll have to wait unfortunately.

Similarly, the sub-links mentioned here will break the current nav bars.  The good news is, the nav bars will get an update soon that makes this problem easier to solve in a way that works in all screen sizes.  As the design progresses we may also find that some pages can be scrapped entirely as their functionality is moved into more sensible areas.  The navbar quick target is a good recent example; we really don't need the quick target page anymore at all (great suggestion btw).

All of this is behind some other work though, but it's coming.  You're exactly right: minimizing clicks is the goal.
