Topic: The Imperial Conflict Galaxy Wide Union

The ICGWU (Imperial Conflict Galaxy Wide Union) will consist of every family one way or another.

The Discord chat for this will be the standard Discord Starburst channel located under general.

The proposal;
Any family that feels they are being over powered, double teamed, (farmed) in any way can call on the rest of the galaxy for help.

You can even directly market trade resouces to another family through the union without having to permanently ally them.

For example: The #1 and #2 family are farming #7th place family, the lower family can use the ICGWU for support.
Example: Family A wants to trade 2million iron for GC they can look for a buyer (Family B) and negotiate a trade.

This does not go against just big familys they will be a part of it too. Big familys = Big NW = bad moral. It is a galaxy wide pack! The whole point of this is to use IA as it was meant to be AND to build on the social communication of this game

It is a different and potentially fun idea for all players to increase communication and temporary alliances!


It will work similar to an old feature in the game where leaders had there own forums only this will include every one

All you have to do is, post here about your suggestions, use the discord channel #starburst more, and have fun. I'll likely contact all familys to see if they are intrested in joining by the SOR. Please let me know if you support my idea, in no way is it meant to prevent conflict, the main purpose is to bring about more social communication and a balanced round!

I don't think it's nessary to have an official speaker, Just use the forum and the chat more often and i know some fun and good times will come from this!

A platform is as useful as its used. I don't see the added value above general chat.

General chat is never a bad idea, but assistance can be as simple as launching some opps or so forth, every one seems to be complaining about more active familys teaming up on smaller familys when it could easily be just the other way around.

This is exactly the kind of coordinate I was hoping for.  Awesome.

Anarchy, we can set this up as a new Discord channel if you'd like.  We could decouple it from specific gals and make it an overall "The Imperial Conflict Trans-Galactic Union" so anybody can use it for help, regardless of galaxy.

What are your thoughts on that?

I really like the "trans - galactic union" idea, but maybe in baby steps start with SB so we can focus on making it useful and effective. If we start with all the galaxies it might grow out of hand and just become a "crying" forum. Which is what i want to lead away from. I think it should be about diplomatic debates and conversations and less about whining. In theory the more players / family's that participate, the more diplomatic it will become. If a majority of family's participate other family's will have no choice but to participate as well.

(edit) Also on second thought a Floor speaker might not be a bad idea, only if its you pie, or a moderate. Some one who is completely neutral and keeps it moving smoothly. If its a mod or our game Admin more players may want to participate or take it seriously, sb27 could be our trail run.

What do you think about that?

Admin/mod participation sounds useful but only in a role that facilitates conversation.

The staff should avoid making decisions or even inferring that anybody is right/wrong as there's a good chance we'd be seen as playing favorites especially if any VIP members are involved.  Those kinds of conclusions should be 100% from the players.

The challenge is how to promote it.  Allowing IA is still a relatively new thing so I think people just aren't used to the possibility of defensive/retaliatory strategizing with so many other people.  I can do some work here to put up a page or something to make this more official, that way players can share the link and encourage each other to participate.

Yes that would be the speakers role to only facilitate meaningful conversation and nothing else.

Anything you do pie will make more people participate, you are the most respected person in this community,  so I think the page would be a good idea.
