Deletes are back yes as an option for players not interested in playing the galaxy anymore. If you join Starburst this round and delete, you won't be able to rejoin.

As far as I know multis will continue to be handled normally.


That should probably be posted in announcements.

There's a pretty obvious alert that comes up when you actually go to delete.

I'm going to have to disagree with you, because I didn't see it when I did delete... I also didn't expect the delete button to work.
I also joined before I saw the announcements... So that was completely my fault anyways

I should/will make that warning bigger and probably include an extra step to verify.  Even though players should read the big scary warning it's becoming pretty clear that they don't haha.

Announcement: when pressing the big, red, scary button saying delete empire - after marking the "I am sure I want to delete my empire" box - it will delete your empire.

5 man fams would be fine with max 2 drafts and no ia and have max 1 ally or with out ally

If you want new players joining. Many should bring back a one week training gal to help support. I would say that having  this gal a draft gal is fine.OK make everybody happy bring back a gal of all ransoms. Kinda like pinwheel was .I m doing fine in SN Doe's it really make everybody want to come back having all the drafts and IA,S

what I would like to know is, what is going to happen to the families that only have 2-3 players in it when the round starts.

You set up 16 families, at 5 people per gal, that's 80 players. When was the last time we had 80 people playing this game

Or is there a big influx of new players all of a sudden.

We've had over 80 players for awhile now, even ignoring people playing in multiple galaxies.  Last SB round opened with 72 spots and had to have spots added because it filled up.

This isn't some dramatic increase.

There is an option to merge.  We'll look into that if it is found necessary.

The galaxy join code is imbalanced, which is unfortunate but nothing new.  The start time is delayed to account for this, and is also nothing new.

as always u have the ones who will complain .. u will never make everyone happy .. they always die cause they cant adjust to change.. cloud just doesnt have 4 friends or people that really like him ingame lol... thanks again pie for making things interesting and not just normal ... let the cry babies cry.. they never done anything really for the game nor do they have the time in

There was a join conflict with draft spots and limited space.  Draft spots take precedent in this situation so your empire got displaced.  We're still working out a better process for this but you should be able to rejoin.

Yep.  This round is by design meant to expose imbalance on some level.  Like it or not, that's what we're doing.  The long term game will benefit for it.

Also, nobody is guaranteed an IA.  You have to do the work yourself to make that happen.  That's the nature of diplomacy.

If it makes you feel better, a 3rd galaxy will be opening soon.  If SB isn't your style, you're more than welcome to wait it out.  You could play both too if you'd like.

Acrid, I'm aware that they were around.  What I mean is that you're concern about "if you don't have anyone to IA with" is within your own power to change.  Nobody starts with an alliance up front, they have to talk to other players.

There's no insult intended, but at some point the complaint of "I don't have an IA" is exposing a resistance to adapt to a more social, complicated game.  The game is indeed responsible for fixing some of its own imbalances but it shouldn't be expected to hand-hold the players through absolutely everything.

You'll have to message other players and make a compelling case for what you bring to the table.  The game isn't going to this for you any more than it did with the old in-game alliance system.

"I don't have allies" has nothing to do with IA.  Even if the in-game alliance system were brought back you'd face the same challenge, you'd just have an easier way to see your ally systems and forum once you found your alliance.

JadeGanasi: we'll see how it plays out.  As stated, if it doesn't interest you you're more than welcome to wait for the upcoming 3rd gal.  Despite the overall changes in the game's direction you guys should still have more variety than you do now.  It's on the way.

Processor VX many players agree with you and your guys' feedback is not being ignored.

That said, SB-27 isn't changing.  It isn't perfect but we can't fix everything at once.  Progress isn't instantaneous and I'm choosing to value experimentation over 100% of players being comfortable.

As I've said to others: a 3rd gal is opening soon that will cater to the players who don't like SB's setup.

So issue with IA and so many spots is I can make a 15 man 3 fam team, which could be stupid in this universe.

Yes you would have to still set up an alliance with them, even if there was an Allie system set in place. But they had to break the alliance with you before they could attack, giving you or your family time to prepare to some extent.

But what you are going to have this round is vet families taking advantage of new player families by stating they have an IA with them, then waiting for the right moment, ( when the new family is planet fat, and sleeping) then completely farm them for max plants
