From my perspective, being in 3679:
- I pretty much felt choked in terms of space we had. With 10 player fams this galaxy probably should have been bigger. Closest enemy HS was just 7 camaar ticks...
- I don't like we had to wait 48h to kick inactives that actually told me 48h before SOR that they are not playing with us.
- I don't like people can go inactive, take up space in the fam for 48H and after that can rejoin the round, while the player that deletes at start of round to help the fam is given a penalty by not allowing to join the round anymore.
- We still have 3 fams left to fight....., but just 3 days left.
- In general I think marines showed the morale system is messed up. Don't jump, raid bankers, wait while everything portals and the enemy struggles with morale to retake, than jump when portals come in and clear everything.
For next round I would like to see a different criteria for round win, than size. Suggestions:
- King of the hill. Designate target planets that you must hold. Each tick you hold a planets is worth points. First fam to 1000 points wins
- NW race. First fam to 10 mill NW wins

Fix moral, change ops and spells back to the way they use to be or something similar if possible, make the galaxy bigger. If possible have a way to send fleets out faster, maybe something similar to how we build infra. Right now sending fleets out to multiple planets feels like homework...

Has nothing to dot with the conflict pie
Makes winning easy fights turns into something stupid as the losing fam can just keep sending retakes from home system while abusing morale system since everyone is like 6 ticks camaar speed from each other, I've mentioned this numberous times now.
Morale should go back to old days until a new system is out in place as this morale system rewards inactivity and is already abused heavily

I'm considering disabling morale for next SB round to get a better sense of the underlying issues, similar to how we allowed IA for SN this round.
Morale won't be fixed any time soon, and even just reverting it is a fair amount of work that won't be done in time for the new SB round.
Disabling it though is possible, and having it out of the way could give us a better feel for what exactly needs balancing.
If you want to disable morale id recommend opening another galaxy that doesnt have morale while having one that does. I feel that a HC no morale galaxy is going to end really quick for a lot of people.
I also feel the round can be shorter by 1-2 weeks.
Other than that morale would be my biggest issue. I'd implement the war and morale idea idea posted in the suggestions thread, but i know it is time consuming work and probably wont be done in time

We were in 4 or 5 wars this round and every war I was raided, shares or not. It sucks to have to rebuild your empire 5 times over because camaars are raiding you from 3 ticks away from there HS. Making it a bigger galaxy adds some protection to bankers and resources and will make attackers fight each other before they can launch banker raids.
