Yes everyone, i did agree to nap with Raven, but he did CANCEL the offer, attacked our ALLIANCE member and gained 2 extra planets near me. After that i could not trust you - therefore u got cleared.  You are new to this game, but if you act like this in future, im sure there are more players, who would have hit you for that like i did, no ?!?

If this is lying and backstabbing - so yes i did that, you happy?

lol you have 8 people of 24 active players,

1/3 the other 8 are in their core semi active,
their were two small groups, but you have already made one player from each quit,

so yes you made a super alliance, in a solo galaxy where half the players don't talk to anyone,  but you guys cant even fight, all you do is hide planets behind nap teams, after taking,

if you guys were so good then you wouldn't need to do this chump

Common, it is not a rocket science. Use your brains!

Get a small guy (who just joined galaxy) with some fleet to do retakes on planets they passed to napped players. 7-8 well place portals will give good coverage of most of the galaxy. Then it's just market aid.

For the sake of fun I would help funding such a venture wink

I do not know the mod team in any way so do not know why these galaxies no longer exist, but it seems like bringing them back would make the game fairer, as well as adding depth and variety.

But at the end of the day, this game is called Imperial CONFLICT. There are always going to be times where your back is against the wall and you take a beating. It is at that point where you must remember that this is just a game.

For a "starter" galaxy to have illegal alliances where 6 people can gang up on 1 new guy is bad design.  The current state of SN is about 1/3 or maybe closer to 1/2 of the active people in the entire galaxy are in the mag 7 alliance.  I'm pretty sure there isnt another alliance even half the size of the mag 7 alliance.  With the morale rules and passing planets off to alliance members that are napped to the enemy it's impossible to actually fight them.

My summary for this round is the IA test round didnt work.  If you want to allow alliances in the future, make allies official and limit the amount of allies so it it at least a somewhat fair fight and people like lordraven dont get their round ruined.

This is unfortunately much easier said than done.  The old alliance code is broken and fixing it prior to the round start wasn't possible.

The alternative was to forbid IA as usual, in which we miss the opportunity to learn anything.

The round is understandably frustrating for some, but given the goals of the experiment (better understanding the game's imbalance) it's hard for me to say it didn't work.

FWIW, SN is no longer officially a starter galaxy.  The new galaxy description is below:

Special rules apply in this galaxy: there is only one race and every empire is on their own without the support of a team.

Given this, a new player is no longer presented with an obvious starter option.  That itself is a design problem yes, but SN allowing IA isn't.

The larger point again is that IA isn't responsible for rounds being ruined: the game's core imbalance is.  The IA rule has just been protecting us from being able to see what's really wrong with the game.  Hence the "band-aid" reference.

To say it another way: if you have the flu, pain medicine can help with a headache but it isn't going to help you get better beyond tolerating the symptoms.  For the last several years IC has been rotating pain meds because the previous admin/dev wasn't around to implement a proper cure.

This SN round allows us to understand what the proper cure should be.  We can't do that if we continue to hide behind the IA rule.

Can you tell me who and where you are seeing planets past to by naps?
I myself am haven't seen it.. and I'm in the alliance.

And its not really our fault we thought big,  it could have backfired on us also...

Alliance could kick 1 member out,  which shares a TON and kill them overnight.

Risk vs reward i guess.

just for the record.. i did not lie or back stab .. swear on my 5 kids.. pie you have done well with all ur work.. u cant make everyone happy  and you know this.. theres always a victor and a loser..i hope we have more galaxies to play in sooner than later.. satrburst is harder i think cause u have to rely on people more for infra and aiding compared to super nova you are on your on .. except this round u can IA.. it gives us a chance to work with people outside our family .. it has its good points and its bad points.. everyone is intitled to play with their own strats and how they want to .. just how it is.. pie keep up the good work again and thank you for all ur time spent
