I hit is figs 3 times only didn't even take a planet...and they was all tickers..then he took some unportaled planets ..I retook them then came back online a few hours later and he was gone..this is a IA round..normal rules do not apply..maybe u shouldn't of played..if will not apologize for something so small..or cry wolf..just sounds like someone threw a fit and deleted..can't make everyone happy..

What truly hurts - not the loss of a few planets - but how I actually refused to attack you for my allies ... after initial attack on big at beginning of round when we agreed to be teammates... basically you were my ally but I wasn't yours... that's called backstabbing...

Hell even DK understood when I didn't send more attacks; I wanted to learn how to play without random threat of backstabbers
This is not a threat so don't misunderstand... but you mentioned real life... and be glad; anyone that's backstabbed me in real life has paid karmatic results from the universe itself... I've had a really hard life but my current situation beats most anyone I know tenfold

If I hadn't deleted them, I'd copy your messages... Lacoste at least has the decency to have been aiding his allies...
In retro spect I suppose we (Lacoste and I) each could've said something about the nap but again being new I didn't expect to be backstabbed when there are so many ways to beat me normally

Raven. You gotta take this and learn. When I started out, I was in your boat. I was always picked on cause I was new, and I didn't always realize what all was happening from round to round. I got beaten from 200 planets to about 20 and had to learn to crawl back from it. Does it suck and feel unfair at times sure, but learning to fight through it on ANY game is gonna earn you more points all the way around. You can't say that about just IC. Fight fight fight, and when all is lost, fight some more. You can do it.

Missing the point; I knew I wasn't going to win; so I was napping or fighting as I should - but again, ias alllowed and both offered alliance without nap - which yea you guys know better but why? Because they do this shit to everyone
I truly thought them allies and even my allies will tell you since I mentioned it several times... it's just not a fair game when you dint know who is really an enemy in a game that has built in ways to be deceitful witgout resorting to flat out lying

Also, why subject new players to that? In order to play at all you have to spend months learning just to be tricked into losing it all by so called friends
Here's the simplified example... I've never played 21 (basketball) before, everyone is against everyone but I can't shoot well so I agree to pass it to my friend who isn't on my team ahs doesn't share points; in the idea that we are a team and his win is mine... I know really crazy concept for some of you... anyways; in this scenario my friend accepts my passes but sets me back to zero when I hit the rim... ok I get it you want to win,,, but why at the cost of our apparent allegiance
Hope that makes more sense on why I feel this way

This must stop. I think we should end the round, and get rid of ia's. I liked the idea of allowing ia's, but it's not going to work.
I've posted a lot about how I hate people complaining. But this time it's different. We've got 7 (seven, not six but seven) experienced players ganging up on 1 player.
If someone here can explain to me how your suppose to defend against seven experienced players.
And now their ganging up on new players.

If we can get 7 active players together to fight this group, I'm in. But I'm not sure there are even that many active players. So how can we have a decent game when over half the active players are ganging up on people.

To Mag7 group. When you offered to nap lord raven, did you offer him a real nap with all 7 of you. Or were you offering him a nap with one or two of you in an attempt to keep him from retaking pl.

I should say first that I am writing this post without specific reference to any of the players in this thread. I have not played with any of the players in this thread that are receiving criticism and I write this post objectively from my experiences in Starburst.
I have just come back to the game after 5 or 6 years out and would agree that the game is dominated by experienced players who know the game inside out and have almost perfected the winning formula. Even with the discussions about tweaking morale etc, these guys are going to work out the new formula pretty quick - they're not stupid. This is clearly going to intimidate newer players who are trying to learn the ropes.
Having said that, I don't think these guys should be ridiculed or abused for being good at the game. At the end of the day, everyone wants to be the best. Sometimes this will blur the lines between the 'rules' and what is considered to be 'etiquette'.
That is why I feel having more than two galaxies is important. It has already been mentioned that Virgo used to be a 'starter' galaxy, where new players could meet friendly people and learn the ropes.
Bringing back a hardcore galaxy like SD would also serve to 'soften' the middle galaxies and make things a bit fairer for everyone.
I do not know the mod team in any way so do not know why these galaxies no longer exist, but it seems like bringing them back would make the game fairer, as well as adding depth and variety.
But at the end of the day, this game is called Imperial CONFLICT. There are always going to be times where your back is against the wall and you take a beating. It is at that point where you must remember that this is just a game.
The Mag7 group should be ashamed of themselves.

As the founder of the mag7 group, and most inactive member i must apologize to the community for brining sutch a ruthless bunch together. But we have 1 clear message we want to communicate to you all.
All your planets belong to us, surrender or be farmed! 
Have the mag7 group been using naps to keep players from doing retakes. If they have, I think that's a clear violation of the rules.

Actually, I think ganging up 7 against one also violates the spirit of this rule, but we did open it up to ia's. I think this group took the rule to allow ia's, and took it to the extreme. But I'll give you that it can be argued that we allowed it, so you can't bust them on that.
