Recommendation for next round (CF Bankers).
Get 7-10 +20 food-bonus planets and OB them with farms.

That should account for 2-3%max of your total buildings and will never let you starve.
Surplus goes to market to increase average gc/building when these things happen.

I'm not sure if this will help but one thing that I realized in my years of playing is that when a banker needs food... or anyone, you can click on planets, then click build, and then build a lot of hydroponic farms. This works 100% of the time and has worked wonders for bringing my bankers out of starvation and high market costs.
