Page Permissions

Every page now has 3 permission types:

• player: can be viewed by a player logged into an empire

• user: can be viewed by a player logged into their account without being logged into an empire

• guest: can be viewed without being logged in

A page can be be multiple types.  This is setting the stage for work to come that will enable family/player pages (amongst others) to be publicly viewable.

Redesigned Home Page

The home page has been greatly simplified and now matches the new design.

Side Nav Improvements

The side navs have gone through some small adjustments for desktop views.  They are now full ehight, with links that take up less vertical space.  This should make pages feel less bloated.  Mobile views were not effected.

Cache Busting

Updates no longer require players to clear their caches.  It's about time!  Your browser should receive the newest stuff automatically any time there is an update.

"New" Flag for right-nav forum topic titles.

Redesigned Signup Flow

Potential new players will no longer be scared away but an excessively weighty signup page, nor will they any longer have to go through multiple steps.

Redesigned Forgot Password Flow

This is now super simple, as it should have been this whole time.

Bug Fixes

Race Creator points not updating

This once again functions correctly.  Thank you Devillived for pointing this out.

Password Recovery not working for some players

Some players were reporting invalid reset links in their emails.  This should now be working as intended.

Rankings Page broken if logged out

This now works, showing the first active galaxy in the list as default.
