I think we should make a type of hospital.

If you wake up in the morning and your fleet has been decimated, then what?

Well instead of just being screwed, you could pull some of the dead out of the hospital.

Yes, you can station, Yes you can build more fleet when you wake up, but not always are they an option.


You could turn that into a VIP perk also, hospital time in say 6 hours, for a fee, you can speed it up. As a VIP the fee is cheaper, or the time is less?

Many ways to swing that if needed.

The underlying element here is to reduce losses I guess. If attacking soldiers also get the hospital treatment there will be little effect, unless a second opponent pops up.

Also it creates a limited window of opportunity for attacker to profit while the enemy fleet is recovering. I don't think it is fair to at the one hand limit attacks in this period (due to morale) while on the other hand we enhance recovery.

I really like the idea.  It could be fun.

The problem is that the game depends on a certain balance, and a change that big could throw everything off.

It would be fun to try.

You would have to build and fund the hospital.  The hospital could take soldiers, agents, and wizzards.  Although wizzards are harder to heal, because the damage is magical.  And agents are difficult to recover because they're on enemy pl.

Droids, figs, and bombers would require a repair shop.

If you win the pl, you can possible heal or repair 50 % of your losses.  If you lose the pl, then the wounded tend to get left behind.  So something like 5% of your losses.

Or.

Each pl has to have it's own hospital.  As long as you keep the pl, the hospital will heal the wounded and send them back to the battle field.

I'm not a big fan of this idea. Like Lightguns said, it's already supposed to be balanced out by morale.
If we would introduce something like this, it should work for both sides. There's already a mechanism in place that makes you not lose your entire fleet in one strike. Meaning that if you get raped to bits, you have been attacked a lot of times, requiring planning and saving. Strikes to me very unfair if you can just pull a load of soldiers out of the hospital, build a few new ones and strike back with more power then ever
