Topic: Goings on in Supernova
So I've not played for 6 years, and I started late, and I'm not very active, and I'm still coming to grips with some of the rule changes that have come into play 'recently?', but I'm not hating the experience, which is nice.
I'm sure it's very different inside the top 10 or 20, but down where I am, aside from a few early system clears where I had my planets nuked, the lack of nw limit hasn't been abused. Logically, the people who want lots of planets aren't going to blow all their morale taking 1 from someone small when they can take 10-15 from someone else, and it actually seems to be working that way in my experience, so thumbs up for that one.
I'm currently engaged in shooty negotiations with the only other person in the galaxy my size, and it's nice to be able to do that without constant outside interference. Indeed, I can look at the rankings and find the next biggest or smallest person, and make them my target. So thumbs up for small galaxies and 1 player families.
The single race thing I'm still making my mind up on, but I'm loving having access to every spell/op, and moving the op limit into morale is a nice change, so maybe I like the single race thing?
All positive from me then. Anyone else?
