Hello fellow ICers,

As of today, #mod will no longer be considered an official support mechanism for players.  We have replaced it with an email address, [email protected].  This offers us a few benefits:

• You can now initiate a support request on your own time.  No more waiting around for mods or being left hanging if none are active on chat or even online at all.

• There will now be an email log of any/all requests.  This will help us track your support case over time.

• An email to [email protected] will reach all of the staff, so you can be sure at least one of us will see it.

There is however, one primary drawback:

• Realtime support via chat is no longer officially provided.

This is all necessary for us to consolidate information when dealing with support requests, and will ultimately help us serve you better.

Also, to be clear, this is not replacing forum support.  Please use the Bugs/Ideas/Questions/Feedback forums accordingly.  This change is specifically for people who need help with their account and/or need to talk to staff privately.

We have some more updates regarding chat coming soon, but we can go ahead and consider #mod a thing of the past.  #general is still open.
