Probably. Basically the game needs a complete rewrite and a universal windows app
Nice to see you still around mace. If he can get a new team of people to do that and players interested again it would be nice. In the end it comes down to how much time and money people are willing to invest.
Thanks guys.
There's definitely have an app on the roadmap, but we need to get some things working for the main game first.
There's no shortage of work, that's for sure.
I guess there's plenty of people willing to help you Pie, just let us know where we can jump in ![]()
Well Pie.. Glad to see new blood in the ownership seat.. i hope a new owner means some new mods cause we gotta get rid of some of them..
No changes are happening on that front. I understand there are some issues going on between certain players and the mod team, but we have to act with consideration to all parties.
The mods have done far more work than needed from them just keeping the game running. We are all indebted to them, and that can't be understated.
That said, it's critical that we keep players happy and ensure fairness. That doesn't mean bending and allowing rule breaking; rather it means that we need to evaluate our rules, processes, and communication.
It's not gonna be easy but it will hopefully help unify the community, players and mods alike. I'm confident we can get there.
I strongly disagree, this current mod team will not do anything to move the game forward in a positive way. It has been nothing more than a friends club which does not serve the majority of the community and rather has antagonized them for quite some time. Lets be honest other than the bare minimum they are not even active anymore, it would be hard to re-energize anything with them.
I understand that you and other players feel this way. The reality however is that the mods perform work that is inherently not visible to the public. From the perspective of people who aren't involved behind the scenes, it will look like they're inactive because they don't have much reason to be publicly involved when they are routinely bashed by the players they serve.
I can tell you definitively that they are putting in more time and effort than even their supporters realize. It's the nature of the job. You can trust me on this or not, but being behind the scenes myself I am extremely grateful for what they are doing and have been doing.
Are they perfect? Of course not. But the problem isn't with the mods, it's with the framework that they have to work through. Our communication is broken and so are our processes. It's something I am focusing on fixing because believe me or not, the mods are a big reason the game has made it this far and both the players and the mods deserve a healthier relationship with eachother.
We have a lot of work to do to mend this situation, but I am optimistic.
There hasn't been a perfect mod since Lizzy left. ![]()
Congrats Pie!
Will you be playing the game undercover & getting a feel for how the current game-play works?
Little things like the toggle button mean a lot
but seriously!
Playing gives a first hand feel for what needs to be done
I don't even know who the mods are tbh ... But I liked KT ![]()

From the looks of things this present fam is unable to fight any other fam soo i'm going to seek to pnap 71 once more. All members who i think arnt worth keeping will be killed off effective immediately. I think its time for some fresh blood in here.
I doubt this is legal nowadays KT, can you set him straight?
KT's initial answer:
Yeah I am not impressed with this.

LMAO^^Because this sums up my experiences with mods in IC...the times you actually even get a reply. You can give a hobo the keys to Ferrari, it may look better seeing him sitting in that Ferrari, but it is still a hobo.
That blame now falls on me, not them.
It's my job to give the mod team a better framework to operate from and more clear standards and expectations on how to handle these situations. If they don't have that, it is my fault.
Things are going take some time. Just because I am not replacing the mod team doesn't mean that we aren't changing how we operate. Hopefully we'll be able to prove this to you all soon enough.
Congrats Pie!

I won't play undercover, but rather in a test version of the game. But yeah you're definitely right, little user interface things can make a ton of difference.
I'm still working on some non-code transitional things, but hopefully will be able to dive back into the code soon enough.
Omg new owner stephan gave it up?...dont Ever drop ic just give new vip featurs so ppl buy vip again so i make some money lol
Make it open source? Active community driven development <3
could always bring back custom galaxies though i can't remember what all the options were...
I remember the days of Draco.. fun times.. I'm certainly keen to see how this all plays out..
Draco and Custom Galaxies are both on my radar for sure, but probably lower on the list than some improvements that need to be made to the base game.
Regarding open source: no plans to open up the code, although there are plans to write/expose an api around certain portions of the data.
I'm game for Draco!
The sooner- the better ![]()
Bring back SD hardcore rounds and old school morale system....also get your butt in gear and write codes for an Android application.
