Topic: Never Give Up, Never Surrender?

Greetings,

I randommed into a family and wanted to change my race to better met family needs.

No sweet eh?  After all per the IC Wiki...

'By choosing the 'Stay in Fam' option at the same time as surrendering, you will be able to rejoin the same family with your empire reset. Through this option, you'll be able to change your ruler name, empire name, race. Your resources will also go back to starting resources and any already started construction will be reset. You'll go back to only your home planet and your networth will go to starting networth. You will remain in the same family'

So I strut over to the creatively named "Surrender" link on my account and I get....

"As it has been less than 2 real weeks since this Galaxy has been born, we are unable to abandon it! We must fight on!!"


Eh?  The Galaxy has been running for a month.  What gives?

Stay in family option is only available before the round starts (or at least used to be) To change race during round you need to talk to a mod (I know right) before building anything or doing anything and they can change race and empire name 1x per empire per round (if I remember correctly)

Beowolfe, you cant delete from a family before round starts. I think you can only be killed off now after 48 ticks.

Due to a virulent strain of moronic mods, your population are worried they will spawn some of their own therefore they have resorted to wearing mod-idoms. Pop growth is reduced by half.
