Topic: Because Europe wasn't unstable enough...

Military coup in Turkey ongoing.  The military has blocked access to the Asia-side of the country, sent tanks and low-flying jets into the capital, and issued martial law.  The president declares he is still president, and has called for the people to resist.

Re: Because Europe wasn't unstable enough...

So we might  get the answer to the age old question...

If Turkey gets attacked from the rear, would Greece (grease) help?

Re: Because Europe wasn't unstable enough...

Seems like the coup is falling apart.

Ummm Turkey isnt a part of Europe and isnt expected to be any time in my life time

Due to a virulent strain of moronic mods, your population are worried they will spawn some of their own therefore they have resorted to wearing mod-idoms. Pop growth is reduced by half.

@suicidal sushi
Only part of Turkey is in Europe geographically but they are hugely important to European countries in many ways.

Re: Because Europe wasn't unstable enough...

Wont debate the importance, but other than being part of the EEC etc, Turkey is not a full member of europe and isnt expected to be for in some quotes 30-40 years

Re: Because Europe wasn't unstable enough...

True, but it influences Europe a lot if Turkey goes berserk. So zarfs point still stand.
