Topic: Refugees!

It's great that suddenly everyone is concerned with the number of homeless people currently in the US, but where were they 2 months ago?  It sickens me to see these people throw up statistics about how our country can't afford to help, when just moments ago they would have condemned any attempt at increased funding to these programs.

The other argument I see is the "ahhhh one of them might be a terrorist" worry.  Again...these same people condemn any attempt at regulating guns...but use this same argument when it's convenient.  "1 in Xnumber of these people could be a terrorist, so we shouldn't let any of them in" could...very easily... be changed to "1 in Xnumber of these guns could be used in a violent crime, so we shouldn't sell any of them"

Re: Refugees!

Most guns in America are dirty and unloaded and locked up waiting to be cleaned.

There is no reason these refugees should go farther than a camp in Turkey, which I would help pay for since I dont piss on Turks like a  lot of Republicans.

I think i'm allowed to say I dont piss on them

Re: Refugees!

The news out of Brussels worsens by the hour.

Lax security, a savage attack, shattering explosions after shouts of "Allahu Akbar..."

And then dozens dead.

The fact that the slaughter of innocents is becoming the new normal in Europe does not make this news from Belgium any less horrifying.

And the current chaos does not obscure one central fact:

ISIS terror squads have attacked the de facto capital of the European Union, and they've done it by smuggling their ideology of death into the birthplace of Western civilization under the cover of uncontrolled mass immigration.

I wish I could say we were surprised by this new horror. But in fact, we've been expecting -- and dreading -- this second shoe to fall.

Soldiers of the jihad have left us yet another bloody calling card, reminding us that they seek the death of the West even as they fight for its territory.

We are all Belgians today.

Radical Islam is at war with Belgians, at war with infidels everywhere.

What happened yesterday in Brussels was another campaign in the blitzkrieg of Islamofascism that the Freedom Center has been warning about and fighting against since 9/11.

We write about this war every day on our websites and speak about it on the campuses, on the radio and on TV.

Millions of people hear our warnings, but those in power in D.C. and in Europe remain willfully blind to this threat. Islam is the religion of peace, they keep telling us. Islamophobia, not Islamic terror, is the real threat.

The bloodshed in Brussels yesterday shows clearly that these are the words of capitulationists who, knowingly or not, function as a fifth column for the jihad.

Our hearts go out to the dead and wounded in Brussels. We pledge to honor them by continuing the fight against their murderers.

The Freedom Center will continue to write and speak about the savage war -- a war of civilizations, although our leaders will not admit it -- that has been declared against the U.S. and Europe.

We will never forget the simple equation that is the key to our survival: silence = death.

I did not write this. I copy pasted it from an email I rechived frome  The Freedom Center, but I do agree with it.

Re: Refugees!

How many refugees have blown themselves up in Brussles yesterday?

Afaik all of those idiots were born or living in belgium for a long long time.

Refugees may be a problem. Islamic Terror is a problem.. but they are 2 different problems.
Saying refugees are the cause of terror is nothing but propaganda.

Re: Refugees!

They recruit in jails. 80% of terrorists are convicted criminals. Often they become religious only after a long life of crime. Some of them are "converted" only months before an attack. But most of them lived here a long time.

The big paradox here is they sometimes do it out of guilt. A bit like the typical crusader: you might have done everything wrong a God could condemn but you will be forgiven if you go wage a holy war.

Using the same logic that Islam is the problem and that we should be talking about it, then we should be looking at how Christianity breeds homegrown terror attacks in the US (abortion clinics, church, etc). It completely ignores all of the other non-terrorist Muslims in the world. Extremists are the problem, and extremism can exist everywhere and infect any and every demographic. Security is an issue and steps should be taken to protect it, but not by attacking everybody in a demographic (otherwise it really does become a we vs them situation).

There are several issues I have with the article too. Terrorist attacks are not normal in Europe. It is not something that goes on everyday. When people wake up, they don't think "I better not go to work today because I might be blown up", they are thinking about their own lives and their own personal problems. The hundreds of millions living in Europe, fewer than maybe 1000 have died in ISIS attacks in the last few years. That is a small number of people affected. This part of the email is nothing but fear-mongering, as it is blowing the incidents way out of proportion.

Now, onto what The Yell wrote, the issue with letting one country take most, if not all the refugees, is that often don't have the infrastructure to handle a sudden increase in residents. I am not just talking about housing but infrastructure to handle rubbish, sewerage, plumbing for water, etc. This would make the cost of one country to take refugees to be higher than if the burden was shared amongst many nations. If other nations paid Turkey, then you would need to pay to build infrastructure as well as food, water, medicine, which would be greater than just housing people in the US and using existing

Re: Refugees!

The Associated Press reported on Wednesday, one day after the deadly Islamic terrorist attacks in Brussels, that the Islamic State militant group appears to be more organized and advanced than previously realized — specifically regarding the organization’s systematic targeting of destinations across Europe.

Days after suspected terrorist Salah Abdeslam was apprehended in connection with last year’s attacks in Paris, another complex series of explosions killed dozens and injured hundreds more in Belgium. AP sources indicate the deadly incident is likely the start of a devastating trend.

At least 400 militants have been trained by ISIS in recent months, preparing all the while to stage similarly destructive detonations in other highly populated European cities. French Senator Nathalie Goulet lamented that uncertainty about the size of this militant force makes fighting it exponentially

Re: Refugees!

There are  54 muslim countries and not one of them are taking any of these refugees.  There are several oil rich countries that could help but  wont. They will buy them weapons and explosives.
Every country that lets muslim in have problems with them.
Japan doesn't have any problems with them. Japan limits the number of Muslims allowed into their country.  Japan wisely refuses to allow these so called refugees in their country. Japan makes them obey  Japan's laws . No muslim is allowed to preach hatred.

"There are  54 muslim countries and not one of them are taking any of these refugees. "
You mean apart from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Kuwait and many others?

I agree however to many rich gulf states do nothing.

Re: Refugees!

CAIRO (Reuters) - Islamic State released a video on social media on Thursday calling on its followers to claim victory and wage jihad after deadly blasts in Brussels this week that the group said it had carried out.

In the footage, Islamic State noted that Belgium was part of a coalition fighting militants in the Middle East.

It featured the training of Belgian militants suspected in the Nov. 13 shooting and suicide bombing rampage by Islamic State that killed 130 people in Paris.

"The crusaders aircrafts, including Belgium’s, continue to bomb Muslims in Iraq and the Levant in the night and day," said the video.

"Every Muslim who is well aware of the history of Islam, knows that the holy war against infidels is an integral part of Islam, and those who read history would know."

Islamic State controls large parts of Iraq and Syria and has a presence in Libya and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
