If there is no ingame nap in place and not yet an agreement about the terms of a nap, than I feel attacks are allowed.

Alot of whining in here about nothing imho.

The only moment when I trust orther players is when they explicitly state they agree to nap and nap terms. All other situations I consider hostile up to 5 ticks in expo phase and 2 ticks mid game.

Always formulate nap conditions clearly.

That has been the ideal for some, maybe even for most, but during over ten years of IC I have rarely played a round where ppl would have not lied, manipulated, cheated, been a-holes or broken unofficial deals. "Trust nobody" is better advice than "be nice".

Also, I have rarely or maybe never seen others in the community to punish anyone who has clearly broken the elusive and unofficial code of honor.

Thus I think IC deserves players who are here to win by all means necessary.

During times of unofficial NAPs those used to be really long and included every possible condition there was imaginable in a NAP deal. Of course those long contracts of fine legal jargon also usually included few nice loopholes for voiding the whole NAP and were infact many times the only reason for making the whole NAP.

Then the family just waited until the NAP was voidable and surprise attacks, raids and farming followed. Usually few players left the game for good as a casualty of these voided NAPs.

Almost as fun as blackmailing planets for NAPs. Or we will farm you to death... wink

but seriously, same old whine threads every round, seems that Losing = Whine thread in uni, harden up, u cant even lose much with new crappy morale rules anyway, if u were any kind of half decent player you can use it to your advantage once you have become the provacatee

So...

Since declaring war on 2023 i have had 2 random fams that i have never had any contact suddenly OP me. One family attempting nukes..the other destroying my iron before the war started smile

Well I for one always upheld naps, tried my best not to farm and do all the rest stated above and i won plenty rounds tongue If i had the effort to do it I'd punish these people myself!

I dont really agree with lying and being dishonourable to get an advantage in this game. At the end of the day the game is meant to be fun for both sides, and being lied to or over farmed isnt exactly fun..

Dont know if you remember flashy, the last round in PW that i played with you...we had a family break a nap early on us and stating it was the plan....so we spent the last 2 weeks of the round just blowing up their planets as punishment big_smile
