Topic: Starburst MVP XVIII

So i'll start this early so people can keep a view on how they see the round unfold.

keeping it basic and honest let's see who tops the charts!

1. MVP Leader - family leader who has made those pivotal decisions when it counts

2. MVP Attacker - Attacker that has been the constant thorn in your side!

3. MVP Banker - Banker that refuses to stop spitting cash despite the adversity of a galaxy full of attackers!

4. MVP Resourcer - The Fat Cat that just keeps churning out the amber nectar.... but could also play many there aspects inside the fam.

5. MVF Strategist (family #no) - the Family that has made those key decisions through out the round to the best advantage of their fam. families that look in awe at how they have wisely devised a strategy to meet their own needs!

the idea of this is not just "he was top of individual rankings" but a debate between the galaxy of whos creating ripple throughout the universe!!

Enjoy the Round Gents and May the Force be with you! wink

I win them all.

Modestus Experitus

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

Re: Starburst MVP XVIII

I think we can all decide that I am the best banker all round and every round.

Can't wait to see this

I'll write this up tonight.

Re: Starburst MVP XVIII

1. MVP Leader - well gents I think this has to go to Colorado, I can't really call it for #19 as we had about 5 leaders throughout the round due to one thing or another. From what I saw #23 made some wise naps and some good allies wink but used this to there advantage at times (especially the cancel on #20 eor  after we had ruined there fleet and attackers) as always the fam followed the leader.
although there was a shaky moment early in the round where colo had seemingly given up leadership and disbanded his fleet. This lasted all of about 4 hours however before changing his mind.

2. MVP Attacker - hard to call really, not much damage can be done by these new morale rules and no small fam had an attacker that would step to the plate to take advantage. Open for debate here but I can't see anyone that was particularly outstanding (myself included) however I figure 23 may have someone worthy after there determination to beat back 17 when being near half there size at the time of war.

3. MVP Banker - this has to go to TYMO, Cf banked all round remained top 3 pretty much 90% of the round had cash for the fam near war, kept some for himself to build (but which banker doesn't now days) and since he was out banking a lot of poppers this round still a great achievement.

4. MVP Resourcer - Without a doubt this has to go to Nightwish absolutely bossed the rankings, top in iron endo and oct most the round, didn't need to top the food as we only had the one popper and pretty much sat like a fat cat after expo phase was drawing to a completion. Also had the ratio of research perfected to a resources needs, was able to trade off and swap planets at the drop of a hat this guy is too active to just be a resources but that's how it rolls.

5. MVF Strategist (family #no) - I'm in a pickle here, #19 or #23 23 had a great plan and great direction however 19 had one goal explore and build. With some of the best Eco builders around and great coordination 19 conducted Eco jumps like no other turning over planets early on a scale like no other. Myself and Nightwish working hard between us to build huge amounts of planets in the same tick organising explos timely it worked a dream.... However I just can't shake the determination or the coy move up the ranks 23 had done to gain 2nd place. And to bully 17 in such a fashion being a lot lower in nw they stood their ground and came out on top.

This is how I saw the round there were others that come close but factors such as gameplay

Notable players I felt was in the running

Black eye for banking great job in a small fam

Oedipus resourcing was unstoppable early on but that changed after research builds finished

Waldo tried to lead 22 after the exodus of a fair few decent players but couldn't let some issues lye and inevitably lead to his his fam being killed off by more than just one fam.

Fam 17 on strategy, had a dirty ploy I feel offered alliance but I feel this was a rouse to get a pnap as they never helped lift a finger in any battles we had with fams  just seen this as a protection to themselves and try and outrun us to size which slowly failed as they ran out of people to steal from. However the sly ploys they pulled nearly let them get away with it.

Feel free to post your own views... It's all open chat here and all opinions are welcome.

Re: Starburst MVP XVIII

Hard times when Colorado is an mvp leader... sheesh. He should be ashamed that he napped almost every family in the galaxy and gave his attackers very few targets.

Blackeye whooped all the bankers for the majority of the round with my rezzies and no attackers to support us for most of the round. I think you guys were fortunate we didn't have more active attackers with our gc and rez production being as high as it was.

mbvX, jamjam, nobody, smax

Re: Starburst MVP XVIII

Not to be picky or anything. But... Nightwish got like 90% of his rez planets from me... About 3 thirds of the way through the round... tongue

We who are about to die, salute you

Lol you wouldn't have had all that gc/rez if you had more attackers so...
