Topic: Popcount vs NW vs Income
The games shows 2 different popcounts
1: In Empire overview
2: In advanced mode at the bottom of the planets page
1 and 2 differ:
1 shows popcount from last tick and is used to calculate income
2 shows current pop count and mutates to 1 next tick
My first problem with this is that my income is always lagging behind my real popcount
My second problem is that when you demolish LQ it takes 3 ticks for you NW to drop to desired levels:
- Tick 1: LQ get deleted but pop in planet page stays (this is probably due to the game calculating pop before infra mutations)
- Tick 2: Pop in planets page drops, but pop in empire overview stays high
- Tick 3: Pop in empire page drops, and so does my PopNW
This results in 2 ticks of massive income which should not be allowed (no upkeep for LQ , high science income because of you killed LQ, TO percentage skyrockets).
My idea:
Change the calculation order at tick: Calculate first buildings and than pop
Change calculation order on pop: First updating planets pop and than updating pop in Empire overview
Calculate income latest
These changes should remove the income lag on popbankers and allow pop based attackers in SN to drop NW without the massive income bonus for a few ticks.
