Re: Supernova (Single Player Galaxy)
What if once morale planets are discovered, they're known to the entire galaxy? That way if you're unlucky (I know 01 found very few morale planets this round) you know where to target.

I found 6 this round. to many to even use!
Should have been unlimited morals.

I think that's a great idea.
I had one and it was in my home system, didn't find any others the entire round.

I wonder how the new formula was developed. Why not create a list of situations and let the community sent in a proposal for the ammount of morale it should cost. With this list of information you can make a statistcal analysis which gives you a morale fomula that fits with the avarages morale los the community sees fit.
I can do the statistics and generation of the formula.
Situation descriptiion
Attacker NW
Attacker Size
Fam size
Fam NW
War: y/n
initiated combat: y/n

Just if that guy(s) is targeting you when you hadn't caught up yet!
Hmm.. massea I think twenty percent is too small a handicap. I remember warming up by attacking you last round and I had to wait nearly entire round before you were in my range... that was before morale system. But now you wouldn't necessarily get attack once there's a green light from, overseers, all b/c you've explored such an offensive core when you were too small. It would just cost more too keep clean cores if that were to happen. Resolving premature conflicts because you were already cleared just at a higher price.
Yeah because I joined the gal when someone already had 1 mil nw :-) having a "punishment" at 10-20% in sn also solves that issue.
Morale rule sucks. Its not playable
It is payable. It is also an entire new point of strategic measure. You can no longer stay on your bum and totally ruin amother empires entire round in on hour. It turns ruthless street brawling into civilized boxing.
You have to learn to dance or you get knocked off your feet.
I lost a bunch of planets. OK. I can live with that.
Retake is 34 moral. I can retake 3 planets.
I don't even know what else to say.
This breaks basic game theory. I have a person who attacks me, and I literally can not attack them back. It makes no sense.
And I'm not having any fun.
I'll also add, that the guy who's now attacking me had the same thing. I attacked him, but because of the screwed up core system, he couldn't attack me back.
It all makes no sense. I no longer understand this.
Maybe it's me. Am I crazy?
I'm confused. You initiated attacks on someone, and now don't like that they attacked you back?
No. What I mind is that I can only do one attack every 6 hours.
If I could only do 6 attacks per hour, I would think that was a bit silly for a war game. But 1 attack every 6 hours. That's beyond silly. That makes the game unplayable.
That's 4 attacks in one day. I can only take 4 planets a day, plus like 4 pl at the beginning to use up 100 points of moral.
I can now do more expos then attacks.
You could avoid attacking people 1/2 your size?
Do you really want a full description of what happened?
If I'm the only one complaining about this them ok, I'm wrong. Because what I see is a global problem with the game, and I know there are other people having the same experience.
If no one else is complaining, then I'm wrong.
I've been playing this game for something like 10 years, and I've never once wasted a moderators time by complaining about being attacked.
I'm not even really complaining. I'm informing you that you have a problem.
And I'm asking you to please change the moral system. Anything would be better.
Giving people with higher NW and Planet (which theoretically gives them superior income and fleet) was part of the point of the new morale system. If you're attacking someone 1/2 your size, and it's costing you a lot of morale, the formula is acting exactly as we intended it to.
I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just looking for a better description of what you expect than "anything would be better", as that's less than helpful ![]()
i agree with lone tiger here.
A player outside my reach of 35% NW took a planet off me. It probably cost him about 3% morale.
I tried to retake the planet for the insane amount of 93% morale and i actually blew it up.
That doesn't make any sense and should be looked in to
blowing the planet is the least of my concern even though there was nothing i can do about it apart from dropping in NW to get a planet back, which makes it flawed anyway.
What bothers me the most is that if he took more then 1 planet i could not even attack him back.
The rules and tactics as they are work in galaxies with families. Trying to keep it the same for a single player family is not working.
Both the morale system and the 35% NW limit are imo not working as intended
Epiconicedude explained the problem much better then I did. That's exactly what I'm talking about.
Seems to me if a player 35 percent of your nw is taking your planets then they aren't adequately protected and you deserve to lose them.
that's not what this discussion is about
