Topic: 3 Cores in SN?
I read there are 3 Cores allowed: Home system + 2 others.
How exactly does one go about designating those other two, and what does that designation entail?
Thanks for the help!

One core is your home core. The other two cores are any two systems that you
Control all the planets in the system. You have to control all the planets in the system for 7 days. After 7 days the system can not be attacked .
FYRE your not a new player . I see it says you registered July 2105.
Did you have to reregister ?
I registered last month, about two days into the Supernova round.....? Why? Lol
Soooo if I controlled the system for 6 days, and someone tried to sneak in by taking one planet and I retake it within the tick.... does my clock reset?

Yes, move your DS in, it will help a little.
Damnit... my DS was there.
They just snuck up on one of the unportaled planets in that system with about 1k droids or so.
Maybe I should invest in portaling every one?? That's a lot of soon-to-be wasted money...
You could do that, although ported planets do not mean they can't be busted, I would station troops and figs, up lasers too. They probably only took one planet because of the DS...

I guess that's one of the things I have yet to figure out these last few weeks of playing. How big should one's main fleet be given your NW and the rest of the galaxy's, what %age to station on pre-Portaled planets, how many lasers to build, etc etc... the list goes on.
It takes a bit of time to learn all the basics Fyre but with time you will get there. Don't be afraid to ask questions, there are plenty of good guys around who can offer advice.
BTW Fyre - you are the second Fyre to play this game, I believe your IC name is fyreign and your forum name is Fyre.
We had a guy before called Fyre who played for many years so you might be confused with him sometimes.

I played a handful of rounds very casually about a decade ago when I was a teen under the name ¤ƒ¥®Ë¤ÐËφ¥¤ (obnoxious characters were used on the internet a lot back then). Had to be before 2007 and further back, before the Myspace days. Wish the hall of fame worked so I could pinpoint exactly when I was here and how well or bad I did.
I tried signing in last month but I couldn't remember the password and the email I used for that account has loooong been deactivated. So I registered under the most similar name I could get. I don't think we're the same guy though, though I was pretty active on the forums back then, especially politics, back when it was a lot more active around here.
Nonetheless, indeed that is my new IC name. I took some time going through old forum threads absorbing information that I had forgotten about over the years, relearning the acronyms and the basic mechanics of the game, but I'm getting back into the rhythm of things. I've asked some pretty "easy" questions here before but someone always pointed me in the right direction. Some things come back, some things remain forgotten and I seek answers when they come up.
