Great Ruler! The rules set by the Galactic Overseers prevent us from attacking. The family the ruler of this planet belongs to has a networth less than 60% of our own family's networth. We are not at war with that empire's family, nor have they done any hostile actions against us within the last 72 hours.

nice PVC Varlokas but that  10% of chance wining size is bad tongue because he  can drop NW and raid samoane at eny time smile, because of the 60% attack limit u cant go to agresive at the start will onlly slow infra...

Why would you drop when you are 1st place on NW and econ? Dropping seems simple, but believe me, at a certain point even NW from research points becomes limiting for how far you can drop.

Suggestion for NW limit. NW limit is made to protect new players from being raped, right ? But now it turned into a NW dropdown or staylow or jumphigh wars. Which requires strategy and isn't very bad, but... the main point of players going to win size is to stay within range of "new players", or wait for them to grow in and then hit.

What about - attack restriction wouldn't only be based on NW, but size too. That still protects noobs, because you don't think they can really gather so much planets as vets. Make it like. 60% NW attack limit, but only as long as target has less planets than you.

That would lead to more combo playing style and winners. New strategy for bored vets too. And more balanced gameplay as well prolly.

I don't understand what this changes. Everyone has less planets than me atm.... 60% attack limit on size would only give me 1 target.

No, not 60% limit on size.
You would be able to attack the same people as now, because you are leading in size. But my point is more against your current tactic...
I will give example with top NW player atm, it will be easier to understand.
"House" has 8.2M NW and 303 planets. He can attack everybody who is in 60% of his nw range ATM, which is 6 players bellow.
But with my suggested rule, he would be able to attack players bellow that line, if they have more planets than him.

So, he still can't attack 1544 or 1546, but he can attack 1546, 1543, 1529, because those 3 has more planets than he has, even if they are out of his 60% NW range.

This will only give high econ Players easy planets I think. ATM they actually have to drop NW to take those planets.

Right, but you are looking from the current rankings. If everybody would knew that rule from the start, everybody would play different. And, which is the main point for my suggestion, there could not be much difference between infra or size layer, because everyone will be forced to keep balance. I know suggestion is bad for your strategy, but i'm sure you've won enough, and soon will be lazy to repeat the same strategy.. And you will adjust to new rules easy and will keep doing well wink

P.S.
I'll give SPACE/RL reasoning. Imagine you are powerful empire in the universe. You don't spread too much, because you are fine with your current territory, and you focus more on your people wealth. But there are some other empires, which likes to grab territories from other (peaceful or not) empires. They spread chaos everywhere... and they control much more territory than you do... But you can't teach them, because Galactic Law are protecting them. Maybe it's time to change the Law? Especially as those aggressive empires can easily improve wellness of their people, which would let them withstand attacks from powerfull empires.

It would not change my strategy at all. My point is that this makes it harder for small NW players and benefits already good players.

High NW players (beter econ and can support more fleet) will with this rule be able to do easy grabs, while the hard working LOW NW, high planet size attacker does all the hard work. The NW difference would most likely mean High NW players will be blowing up planets from small NW players just to keep the lead in size ranking.

If you want to prevent extreme raiding just let the game calculate the NW instatanious. This would make figh running useless, because the target will have to low of a NW when you are done. To do a raid would be much more costly as you have to loose NW also to be able to keep going on with attacks. This would seriously temper the speed at which you could gain planets. But I believe they invented morale already as a contraint.
