For real now:
larger map, more planets, more space for everyone
drafts get allowed whatever race they want
1 week of no attacks/opps/market
8 fams max, or less
more players in each fam
getting rid of inactives quicker should be something to look into


One extra family member spot has been added to all families in Starburst due to the galaxy filling up.

Do not add a spot when most fams still need more players... wait untill its completly full, the ones who can't join can then inform a mod (give this as a msg when players try to join and can't because full) and then and only then you add new spots...

The extra family was added 20-Apr-2015, the round had already started Mar 27th. We don't add spots unless it is full.

1.  Map size was perfect in my eyes, made for good long expo phase followed by a good long war phase, nothing wrong with it at all and infact this felt like the most balanced round in a while
2.  I like the idea of drafts being able to be any race.
3.  attacks/ops already are 7 days and this was great
4.  more players in each fam.......I COMPLETELY disagree, if you do this it ensures one fam with max players, say 10 or 9, run away with the round while other 7 man or less fams have no chance...I like exactly how it was this round and if anything, cut it down by 1-2 players so we have more fams...But PLEASE DO NOT  make it more players per fam
5.  Inactives...Leader should have some kind of function to boot them faster

I know it's a thing of the past but everyone says they would like to be able to have allies, so is it possible to have allies?

We should have a vote system where if one fam are being pricks we can all gang up on them for one week tongue

Something- that's what I'm saying.
As it is there's no balance or recourse but with allies enabled at least we could have better options for this big fam eat little fam crap

Players - 6
Attacks/opps - 4 days
Map - same as this round
Systems - same
Round - 6 weeks
Drafts - Complete Random or 1 draft
Allies - 1, random and/or auto assigned as orbit said

Just my suggestions to make the game fun and more interesting again

In fact as far as the allies piece goes, it would HAVE to be something out of the players hands and cannot be broken. Or else many fams will go without allies due to incompetent leaders/inactives and it would be abused by the more communicable/affluent players to take over. So the mods would just draw numbers and throw them together. I think the randomness of the whole operation would be the success of it in the end.

Also 6 week rounds were always the best parts of pinwheel and in a game where everything worked towards can be practically lost in a few short days I believe it to be fair to allow players to stay around for the next round.

Drafts should never be an option in a game with a core player base of about 20, however if people actually still buy VIPs I guess they need some sort of feature so 1 is reasonable.

The only thing that concerns me is what about an ally that goes inactive?
Then you're stuck with that assrabbit the rest of the round... That crap ain't right!

So that would be my issue with assigned allies- but other than that, I agree to Cloud's Galaxy

Allies is broken. It used to be if you dropped allies you would auto get a pnap with each other and you could only change allies once. So many changes had to be made to it due to abuse or player requested I think it just imploded. Some of the things that happened were allies attacked allies. Some families would ally hop to attack a family due to good shares and then unally and ally another family with shares of a different family. Some allies did not get along so we allowed 1 ally change with pnap to prevent the ally bashing and the ally hopping.

We have done the families of 6 before and there were a lot of complaints because of inactives.

Stay in family is broken. With such a small player base it will create superfamilies.

I am just giving you the reasons of why some things are not being used and what happened with the small player families. I am not saying we can't try it again but that was the reason we have steered away from the 6 player family.
