Topic: Failure on ops

Imperial conflict 0.1a

What determines the success of my agent operations / magic spells?

Basically the amount of agents/wizzies you have, the amount of agents/wizzies your opponent has and both your NW's.
Also with magic both the magic race bonuses count.
When you op/spell someone with a bigger NW than you it will be about sheer number of agents/wizzies.
When you op/spell someone with a lower NW than you it will be about amount of agents/wizzies per NW.
Also note that with both the actions there's a probability factor as well.
So even if you have a lot more wizzies/agents than your opponent you can still fail due to bad luck!

I now know for sure this probability factor is crap, every round i get opped by others and they always succeed their nukes like 80-90%

right now i'm much smaller then my target in NW and have for sure more agents (like double if not more !)
in 10 tries i fail 7 times.... can i always be that unlucky... no guess not if others can opp me all the time with a much better ratio when they have like only 100k more agents, cleary something wrong here

Upgrade this game please

Time to move to something else

Greetings

Re: Failure on ops

So is your question "Why are other people better oppers than you"?

If you get opped 80% of the time yet you are only successful 30% of the time, it sounds more like you are a poor opper over there being a broken game mechanic.

Here is a tip.  Try using an undetectable/soft op on a target before you try to hit them with nuke or hypno.  If you can vision a target with 25% of your wizzies than you most likely are capable of estorming them using 100%.  If you fail the vision your opponent will never know.  I assume that those who are nuking you do the same, they test a soft op using 25% - if they pass, they nuke you and randomly fail 10-20% of the time.

Re: Failure on ops

poor opper lol

the game mechanic is dead, i know how much agents i have and i know the amount the opposite party has

gimme a break.. i couldn't even succeed killing RC 5x with 1,3mil agents vs 300k agents => does that make sense ?
so i'm a poor opper ? you mean i'm a poor guy because the randomize function in this code is bad, making me the unluckiest person in the world failing ops...
there is a random chance of failing.. well you should look into that code and find out that cleary something wrong there...
Check out what determines the success of an opp and look at my example... i have all the benefits i can get..
=> Lower NW (so its all about the amount of agents)
=> Triple/quadriple and more agents than opponent (=> seriously overkill)

and then comes the most crapiest part of the code
=> probability factor

RANDOMIZE(ICISSHIT)

I will not defend the opping logic as I have to agree with you as I don't like it.  Just in your example you say that 80% of the time - you get nuked - when you try to nuke - -you fail 80% of the time.  The only common denominator is... you tongue.  So perhaps there is some code in there saying..

If(player="exceed")
{
  failOp=true;
}
