Website works fine on my mobile device. Supporting different apps costs a lot of time. Better to have one website with responsive design that works on all devises.

I don't think an app would bring the solution to create a wider fan base. Better promotion and modernizing the look and feel will.

I disagree. App would bring about a larger audience, because advertising for games like this seem to never work anymore. Consider the last time you saw a game that was marketed as an online game, that has no RPG element. As it app it would get larger appeal.
