Topic: Trying to join a friends family

I'd like to start off by saying I haven't played this game in about 10 years.  My buddy just got deployed overseas and we used to play this forever ago so he wanted to start playing it again so he would have something to do in his free time over there.  He created a family and I tried to join but it says all of this familys direct joins have been used up and I cant join his family.  My question is how many people can join a family per day and does this total reset every day?  I'm sure he talked some of his fellow soldiers into playing but i'm not sure.  Thanks in advance for anyone who has any answers.

Also there is a maximum of 1 draft per family now, so it sounds like the family your buddy joined already had it's draft (direct join) and so you cannot join him. There is no limit on how many people can join a day, only the limit of 1 direct join total and total family size of 10 people.

I am the buddy... i just donated $10 to get a premium account to invite him but have yet to receive my premium status or an email anyone besides acknowledging that I sent the money.  I can create a new family or join another if needed.  Please advise.

My advice is that mods place your friend into your family asap by adding new spots to all the fams (the other families spots will remain for.random newjoiners). This is the only way to make worth your premium account or you'll have to wait for next round but it doesnt make sure u both play in the same family. Premium account right now is useless and it should be warned somewhere in between the account creation process.
You donated to the game but it doesnt mean u get advantages of any kind sorry, the game is in a dying status, and the only way to make justice to ur kind donation is by doing what i said above. Its a mods decision anyway.
