Topic: terrible bug abuse

The game is corrupted and unstable, no wonder why more and more people is leaving.
There has been a bug abuse in supernoba for idk how long, and I think not only devilz has abused it, but nobody has said a word about it.

Its about the nw attacking range, the game has been at 35% a lot of years and in this scenario the nw range with war bonus was 25%.  Then recently it was changed to 40% and the range with war bonus raised to 30%, it makes sense, because its a basic rule since I have memory that the nw range for attacks with war bonus has always been 10% less than the normal range.

However, with the new 60% range, the range with war bonus hasnt been changed, so big empires are allowed to farm small empires that play confident and never ezpecting that rules allow such abuse.
The nw range with war bonus should be set at 50% urgently and reset this round that's been corrupted from the start

It is even more serious that you "encourage" new players to play supernoba and then LIE them about the nw rule, they are new, they play according to the rules they have been told, then suddenly a much bigger empire is able to ruin their round by only declaring a war. If you (mods) post an announcement about nw rule settled at 60% tell it ALL, or tell nothing at all, because then you are telling this newcomers to join a galazzy under hardcore rules that are not announced anywhere.

Its a shame that relatively veteran players have abused this bug and stay in silence, while all those players being abused are leaving the game and talking shit about it.

I had to drop under 35% range to avoid devilz can attack me and ruin my round just because he declared a war and is now able to attack me above 35%.  New players dont even bother posting about this abuse, they just leave and NEVER recommend this game to another people.

Another bug I have found is when disbanding my fleet, the program does not obey my order, it disbands more than I tell, it disbands the amount I tell in the tik, and after tik it disbands another half of the amount I ordered.

Really, for the modteam, for whoever is still worrying about this game and wants to volunteer to make it better, these important bugs cannot be allowed, because they affect directly to the playability of the game, to the heart of the game, both you with your "let it go" attitude and the players that abuse a bug and stay in silence for their convenienze, all of you are killing the game.

Re: terrible bug abuse

I for one had no knowledge of this. I'm not even certain you are right, as i had declared war on someone yesterday and they dropped below my nw range an i was unable to attack them.

I've heard there was one that if you attack someone, they can hit back for longer than 72hrs if you are below the 60% barrier. but that was last round when it was 70% & again i've not experienced it first hand.

the disbanding thing i have also had no problems with. although very worrying if true.

ur safe,

lucky, like 2 ticks ago i could send fleet still, and it was after 72 tongue

oh well tongue
Signed, Tatics of Attacker (#10490)
=============================

I was around 40% of his nw when that happened.

There should be an anouncement or something updated in the guide talking about NW rules with zero confussion, and if even mods arent sure where's at right now, hell we have a gal to test it and fix it, havent we?

Re: terrible bug abuse

Ok I have tested it with a small target, deklared war on him, and this is what I got

Great Ruler! The rules set by the Galactic Overseers prevent us from attacking. The family the ruler of this planet belongs to has a networth less than 60% of our own family's networth. We are not at war with that empire's family, nor have they done any hostile actions against us within the last 72 hours.

This means range with war bonus is at 60%?? So either devilz is lying or there is a bug with the 72h. In any kase, it should be 50%

Re: terrible bug abuse

Fact is that abusers never ever ever get punished in this game.

Did you find a bug? Abuse it untill they fix it. Find another bug the round after? Abuse it.
Even mods (fmods) are on this boat, one even told me to go pancake myself after i cought him/her abusing a bug some rounds ago.

Every round something like this comes up, be it big or minor, and nothing ever gets done about it. In the end, the ones that abused get an unfair advantage over everyone else.

Retired.

Re: terrible bug abuse

lol, i attack you until i am able,

i check fam news, and looked when 72 hours was, maybe you opped me, but it seems i could send fleet till least 76 hours maybe 80,

its not like i know how this works,  if i am still able to send fleets, then i send fleets, simple...

i am not able to attack anyone under range on comand, you attacked me i return, so accusing me of abusing a bug, i prefer animals

Re: terrible bug abuse

Render: the 72 hr rule is that anyone can attack anyone if they have been attacked by that person within 72 hrs.

I.e. Empire A = 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 NW
Empire B = 1 nw

Empire B attacks Empire A, Empire A can now attack Empire B irrelevant of the nw limits - but does suffer the morale loss relevant to the difference in size. This has been forever in the game. Some of the fun things was having your morale go to -250+ just because you failed to see that the empire you took your planet that you re-took was like 10% of your size and nw.

I should add that any op also counts as "attacking" even vision or IP/PI etc...

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but i am Jesus"
"Nothing is worse than a fully prepared fool"

Re: terrible bug abuse

You_Fool the point Render is getting at is that Empire A could attack Empire B for waaaaaaaay past the 72hrs mark.

Re: terrible bug abuse

Yes that was the case, I never opped him, nor even a PI, and he was able to attak me after 72h, he triggered 2 fleets after 4 days when I was below his 35%, but thats bekause he was allowed to send em when I was at his 40% and around 80h after my only attack.

So as a summary, there's no range for war bonus in SN, it stands the same 60%, but the 72h rule isnt being applied correctly.
It'd be appreziated that someone test it this round and post here (I'm not playing).
