oh, they won't!.... Dammit I'm fooled again. It will come as a complete surprise, just like the annexation of Crimea. Just at a time where I started  to trust the peace loving regime of Russia.

Cards did change somewhat for them tough. They cannot win a war with Ukraine, even if Ukraine looses militarily, which is almost a certainty.

Ukrainian army will "purge" the "rioters" aka the "russian army" in the eastern provinces. Russia will almost certainly react. So war it is.

Send them a letter to start elections asap, your planets are at stake. tongue

If I was the Ukrainian gov, I would promise a federal state to the eastern most province and guarantee the Russian language in the constitution. The Russians would look the villain to everyone if they invaded, including many Russian speaking Ukrainians.

Afaik that is exactlly what the russians want, at least what their foreign minister says. But yes yes i know.. never trust the words of a politician....

...That and some practice for the 40k soldiers at the border. Although I think part of their fear is real. With unrest at home because of economic problems, they must be really crazy to invade Ukraine. If they have any sense you would save your planets after all. They have done crazy things before on the other hand so we'll see.
