i believe posting a thread in drafting forum will help you to find the other(s) you need.
if that doesn't work I guess mods will attempt to fit 'randoms' together.
if there aren't the right amounts, well good luck with that one

Pick your family of 3.
Post them and their forum nicks in the Orion Nebula Family Thread in Universal News. Also we need to know who will be leader.
Make sure they have agreed to this first before posting them as part of your family.
You will get a week to form your family and post.
If some of you want to play and don't have a family post in the Drafting forum and try to put a family together that way.
All families will be placed, there will be no randoms.
After that week we will set up the galaxy, place families and give you a few days to work on details.
The round will last about a month.

We won't be doing that this time. Plenty of avenues for players to find each other for a team, such as irc, or drafting forum, or w/e.

you would create more interest for this is you made a random player pool. Could at least give it a try. anyone who is willing to play in a team of 3 could post here or in a new thread and then throw them together.
Thats what I was thinkin' but then you open the doors to multis and inaktives, so many people would have to play alone in the end, in big disadvantage.
The best setup for Orion was mentioned not long ago, alow people to kreate & play with multi akkounts, the way you manage the 3 empires in your fam

The whole reason Supernova (sologalaxy) was boring as [fudge] was cause the systems were too big, you could just sit in your small core and still be huge.
I applaud these 3 planet systems!

i signed up for orion, not koth thingy, one player mentioned it and it was jumped on,
what would be the point in even having a banker, may aswell use the start res ur given get fleet and just kill its a silly idea.

to get 1 banker 30 planets to have a decent income ul need 10 systems alone, there isnt even that many to go around lol....so what you going to do about a resourcer? the idea clearly hasnt been thought through at all.

I do not see the issue? For years we've been complaining that ic is always more of the same, same strats perfected by the same peeps always won, now mods mix it up and we have to serve up cheese with the whines.
some facts :
- its a hardcore galaxy. hardcore means the best of the best duking it out with no holds barred. if you cant adapt, survive and thrive, youre not one of the best. thats not even an IC observation, thats a fact of life.
- its still possible to play a more-than-decent game with these settings. just gotta think ahead.
- we're going to kick your ass anyways, why complain?
All in all, i was also taken aback by the settings when i first saw them. That lasted about 15 seconds. Then i started to see the challenge. By now im loving it. Get over yourself and prove you are worthy of even being in a hardcore galaxy, i'd say.
less infra is smaller fleets is more use of a tactical war, yes witht his map and settings we'll have to think differently, but if you cant handle that.... meh
we all know i (and my team.....) win these things when i play, maybe lee is just affraid of loosing again?
