Topic: allow creativity

Not the 1st time i say it, players should be allowed to design a custom race with more race points to distribute.
For a galaxy like SN it would be very interesting to see diffrent races and different playing styles based on the custom race anyone want to design, and all of them made from the same starting points..

Then allow a face maker little program to design the picture of your race, with presets for body, head, arms, weapons and face details.

Then as the round advances set some goals (like the hidden missions in Risk) to gain race points. All the collected racepoints can be used when the round is over to modify your race by adding more attributes.

In summary u are missing the power of attraction for new players to create a character similar to rpg games and not just a profile.

Re: allow creativity

When I first read this idea I have to say I was opposed to it. However the more I think about it the more I think why not? The reason I was initially opposed to it is because it would instantly become a case of the players that are addicted getting more race points and farming the newbies worse than they already do. The answer to this would be in changing the way that racepoints affected your targets.

My thought is this. Imagine for example you had 100 race points to start off with. Then imagine that after whatever achievement you had 150 next round, 200 the round after, and so on. Now, normally the player with 200 race points would pwn the player with 100 race points so badly that their children would still be suffering. But what if it was made so that, similar to the current attacking rules with retaliation being possible, that the 200 rp player could only attack someone with at least 70% of their rp's. In this scenario the 100 rp player is protected from the die hard player, the diehard player can attack someone with 140 rp's or more. Means that the longer you play the more limited your character would become, so you'd have to decide whether to keep building your race or start from scratch again to open more targets. It could create some interesting strategy for sure.

Would be interesting to see if this could be done, I'm not sure about the feasibility of any of it really, just creates some possibilities.

Re: allow creativity

Well i dont think restrictions are needed at all, players with better races will normally be in range to other players with good races while new races will have their game in range with other new races, its a nathral restriction created by the nw rules.
However, a meany player can always drop nw to farm smaller players, and that should be punished with a big morale penalty, but nothing to do with rps really, that should be punished right now appart from this idea.

Other solution would be to set level gals, so lets say when you earn 200 race points u are forced to play in a level 2 gal. A player with a lower race can also try this lv2 gal at his own risk

Yeah I realised this is no possible with barely 50 aktive players lol

nah definatly I wouldnt restrikt anything at all, you implement this just for one SS galazy, not for the game overall, so every player starting in this gal is doing it on equal konditions, its how you play the round and akomplish the missions how your raze will be improved, if you dont manage to improve it you kan always aim for nezt round, and so on.

Its very important the fakt that you kannot redistribute the points of your starting raze, you are just allowed to add the earned points to 1 attribute, so the big gaps between improved razes and new razes will not appear too early.
