Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....

Here is the official announcement, though trial and error works as well.

Re: Supernova: Rd (VI)

Here I always thought this was a training galaxy for new players, and not hardcore for those that are vets.
Well I would just like to say thanks to those playing hardcore rules in the training galaxy. Because of it we have lost not only a 2 new players, but those 2 would have brought more ppl to the game.

One was a vice-leader of a family I play with in other games, and the other was just a family member in the same games. They really didn't want to play this game, they have all heard off the crap that has been happening in this game for yrs, but I have been hounding them for months to play, and this happens.

You just couldn't wait to attack someone, where you chomping at the bit waiting for the 48 ticks to go by, so you could attack someone, no you had to declare war on one, and take half his planets, and I haven't heard what is up with the other person, he's probly pissed at me for having him come and play, just to be attacked once the 48 ticks were up

If your going to tell ppl to join this galaxy if they are  new too the game

"If you are new to the game, you are strongly encouraged to start playing here.
Special rules apply, and players are encouraged to learn the game before trying the more competitive galaxies. "

Mabey it is about time you did have special rules for this, after all there is no real special rules for this system except the 60% rule. If new ppl can't set up there 3 systems, and have to be fighting from the start of the round, (48hr rule normal game rules) this puts a big damper on there wanting to learn and play the game. Why play a game where you always have to be rebuilding what you lost, and why expo if you just going to have it taken away from those that know the game inside out, within the first couple of days in game

If you tell ppl they can have a 3core system, that can't be attack, but you have to hold it for a week, but let the vets start attacking after only 48hr what is the point.  They start setting up a system just to have it taken from them, and when asked what it will take to get those planets back, they are told not going to happen. But sign a 48-72 hrs nap, just so you can attack the later if they get just over the 60% NW

Now this has cost the game not only at least 30-40 new players who would have joined, if it got a good report from these two, but would probly have got us more as well, for these two are playing in a lot of different games

Well that's it, I'm not going to be back after starburst round is over. And it's really no lose for me, mabey for the game but not me.  I have been bringing new ppl in almost very round, and every round they quit because of the crap that happens each and very round.  I have been with this game since it first started, thought I would stick it out until you closed it down, but not anymore.

You can responded to this post or not, for I won't be comming back to see what is said anyway

yeah, yeah, yeah, your the best in the game!
But have you played against " Chuck Norris ! "

Re: Supernova: Rd (VI)

did you tell them about lasers? or diplomacy?

seems if you spent as long as you took to write this, to teach them a couple pointers, maybe we wouldnt be in this mess, smile

like maybe explore only inside Home system and use your DS for planets outside,

honestly if they want a training galaxy open virgo,

you want to be safe in SN, just join 4 days late, and you should be underrange for most.

Re: Supernova: Rd (VI)

Yep - perhaps you should have helped them in the game and taught them how to play?  What's the point in getting new players, if players like you don't assist them?

We can't make a completely noob galaxy, nor can we make a galaxy that isn't completely helpful (e.g. can't get attacked in own HS).  I think you don't realise that it's a combination that have to strive for.  Especially with our less player base, we also have to look after the players who are still here, as opposed to the "30-40 new players who would have joined".

Don't get me wrong - but you're approach isn't very helpful.  Rather then whining about what could have been, just cos somebody is playing the game.  Instead, give us your opinion on how to make it better - if anything, we've been very accommodating and trying to take into consideration what the players want.  Changing the 75% attacking rule to 60% is just 'one' example.

Re: Supernova: Rd (VI)

Jep, Devilz is correct. There are these things called "lasers" which defend a planet and these people called "agents" who stop enemy spies. And... those pesky defense stations which can be found on the "Family Defense" tab of the "Family" page.

You see with the Defense station, instead of needing 12 bombers per laser, you then need 18 bombers per laser (This will guarantee 100% success) when there is a defense station.

When you follow these few simple rules the "Vets" move on to building infrastructure rather than pouring all their resources into expense arse bomberz.

Re: Supernova: Rd (VI)

Cjay is right, devilz is wrong. Period.
You cannot tell new players to join the game just to feed the lions
this game is dead because of players like devilz sitting in front of the computer 24/7 and smelling weird just to abuse on players that have a real life to live, and not a virtual one

Re: Supernova: Rd (VI)

why you so mad render?  you make me laugh smile thanks

lol first off i didnt even attack these new players, i have only attacked people who have attacked others, shark eating sharks,

SN has all the advantages for new players,

sounds like render got raided smile
