i builded 30 wizzies like a noob that i am, but i succeed to cast SA in the first tick of the round.
but in front of me there were 10 players with NW bigger with 100 to 800 NW than myself.
i am still a noob to understand this

Think a ratio using building less explo more cfs would be bettter. Even tho pop will generate some 2k+ income.
yeah what he said, i usually build nearly 100% cf on home planet. sent explos 2 ticks out, then the tick the others get in send them out so all land on same tick. i believe the cost of explo means getting the first 16 out asap is beneficial. (so long as you remember some farms very early on!)

all those guys seemed to have built fleets, i was wondering myself, lol as i found myself in the lower half at the start.
also you never know what kind of people playing,
maybe dummped lots of cash into RC, and will send spread on someone and have some early fun ![]()
17 planets isnt too smart cause you dont have the cash to build your e ships, unless you want to gain pop early, to each their own ![]()

Building expos at start requires you to build every tick for first 3 days to stay in the top 10. Everybody else who is full building will have the advantage of free time and a larger margin to absorb errors.

ok the 17 expos yea maybe someone have a start, but having 10 players with armies....let be real. market should be delayed 2 days too. that way multis could not use it.
and dumping cash to RC....you have to put all your money in it, but it will grow with percent on tick, not all in the same time.

There isnt enough endo/iron even if you have the extra money NOT spent on expo + exploration.

Haha, when I play 1 man fam rounds seriously, I'm always in the top 10 for the first few days. That's pure strategy and eco power.
A few rounds back, Airwing and I compared starting notes, and had each step masterfully down to each tick. The ideal, if I remember, was to build 3 expo's and wait the extra ticks to send them all out so they land at once. It all depends on your iron bonus planets near you. What I meant was, that those who do this, are full built and ahead on eco with less planets in comparison to the guys who spent the cash up front instead of eating the decay, and send the extra explo's they built to get 17 on the first day.
My biggest drawback, is that I'm too lazy to properly defend myself, so I tend to be eaten quite early. ![]()
ok starting is 8, if you build no more e ships, you find you space fills up very quickly, then those next 8 ships you have to send out will be costing you lots more then the 1500,
but yes building 8 ships at the start, you lose out on cash to build you planets,
if your active the best start is 4-5 e ships, maybe 3 like arby said, but going from last round, you will see the middle planet between 16-12 climb their way on top.
It really all depends on what the starting resources are. I think the best average plan is to build 3 extra at start, and plan your first 3 days out for every tick. You don't have to build each tick, but learn to build in shifts as your resource buildings start coming in. Knowing the exact tick you'll need food is important, as is knowing when to space out your endu builds. Those are the most essential. You'll want to keep your endu base growing so you can keep adding more and more buildings as your cash income grows, but not build too many initially since they eat iron fast.
I wish I had my template from that last round, because I was top 5 the entire time until I got lazy and couldn't be bothered to try and stay there anymore. ![]()

No, I just got bored in general lol. Staying in top 5 takes a lot of work, waking up to do builds, etc. I have a life outside of IC, so other things started to occupy my time. ![]()
can someone explain cores, everything about it, never heard about it ebfore..
Cores: 3 (including home system) but you must fight for the other 2
