Topic: Family Banks...

I know how everyone loves to stockpile supplies and what not for one player to hold onto.

I thought it would be fun to have an actual area to send your supplies (a central family bank) so that the whole family can access or at least VL's could. A true family bank. So instead of sending all your supplies to player X, you send it to the family bank. That way you avoid the people offline stuff and what not.

yes I know it eliminates ops and rewards less organized families, but i don't care tongue

in regards to ops thing.... make the family bank suseptible to being opped by creating a new spell/operation that hits the family bank tongue


I don't really play much anymore, so I don't if the family dynamics are still the same, but I thought this was an interesting concept. I'll be surprised if this hasn't been mentioned before.

Nice idea EvilRunt I once mentioned this many years ago now.

Like a central bank system / money pot that everyone put stuff into. 

It would make sense in some respects (I like the idea) but it should be a leader option if it was ever done.

In other words its would only work with players that you know and trust or else some noob would take everything and build 1000000 laser on their home planet or something.

But like Gywnedd said its been thought of before.

Not sure why its not been introduced I guess it would take a massive amount of work for a unsure gain.

Kind of like saying all that work and coding the game and it might not even work, people might not even like it

why not, instead of a "BOT" family bank, a player being marked as the Family Banker tag (only family can see that) and it can be marked by leader and vice leader. so when you are goin to send the aid, you just mark a buttom FAMILY bank instead of searching to know who is the actual family bank player? this would help a little people who has to log and aid in a rush and in smartphones.

additionally i suggest that 2 players can be assigne with this tag. If its one selected he receive the full aid. if 2 is selected it is split in half. this will help in war concerns like destroy cash or iron and to avoid some RL issues that make fambank disapear. if 2 players disapears than shit happens big_smile

Main problem with just making a separate cash stored as you suggested would be the fact that every other family would know exactly where to opp to destroy what you have / or they would have to remove resource opping out of the game which would kind of ruin it
