Topic: Construction bonus

The listed cost of building (an individual cash factory for example) reflects my construction bonus. However, when I I use the "Cost" button I am given the real price I'll pay, which is significantly higher than the amount listed. I am finding this on planets that I have built on 100% (eg, the planet is size 200, I have 200 CF on it and am trying to build another 200). I know there is a 100% increase in cost once you have already overbuilt, but why am I seeing such an increase in price at this stage? I understand there is a natural increase in the cost to build as a result of empire size, but this figure does not account for the sharp increase in price I'm seeing.

Thank you for your help. Understanding why will better help me plan my construction bonus and strategy in the future.

Re: Construction bonus

Lets say your planet is sized 250. 250 buildings will fit on this planet for the normal costs. However when you decide to add a 251st building, the price will suddenly be a bit higher because the planet already has its size built with buildings. The 500th building will be exactly 2x the base costs. The 750th building will be exactly 3x the base costs and so on.

Construction Bonus: Cost = NormalCost/(1+(ConstructionScience%/100%))
Meaning the lowest possible cost of a building or unit is 50% of the base cost (100% bonus).
