Topic: Galaxy Statistics

Due to the new website of IC, Toadies Statistics tool isn't working anymore and I am not sure whether I should update the scripts to make it work again. According to Google Analystics the last few months I get like 10 visits per month (was about 40 at the begin of this year).

I do not trust forum polls, so I would like to ask people to post here whether they use the tool (and or I should update it) or what I can improve to attract them to use it (or has IC in the meantime their own tool, or is there a better alternative I am not aware of?).

For people who don't know the tool: http://sandervdwal.nl/ic/statistics/rankings/networth/ It doesn't have any rankings now. But in basic you can see per given tick (Up to you to fill in of how many ticks you want to see) how much each family grew (in NW/planets/score).

Love it, used it up until the graphics update. Are those unique connections, Toad? Because otherwise, they might all be mine tongue.

That were just visits, unique connections are a bit lower. During May/June I had 10 visits, 7 unique.
IC should make an interface to which I can talk to and receive the data in XML (or something), so not every change on the ranking page makes my tool crash tongue

Well, I didn't expect a big fanbase. But what I see here (and see in analytics) I guess I will update the script. I see this also as a good moment to rewrite the whole script. It takes to much effort in maintenance (to much, as I know it can be a lot less) when new galaxies are introduced and the tool will be more dynamic.

I will try to get it online next weekend (Yaay).

The basics should be working (it contains only data since 14-07-2013 4pm). The previous version had also charts to see how one or mutiple families grew in 72 hours. This is not implemented yet (and not yet sure if I will). Also this version updates 5 minutes after the whole hour where the old one did 10 minutes (IC had a big delay in the days I made it). But 5 minutes after the whole hour seems to be working just fine.

If you spot bugs or have any recommendations, let me know.
