Topic: ops

so we can choose how many of our agents/wizzys to use per op now right?
does it display the number your using anywhere? or is it just a slider?

Re: ops

Just a slider but this is not new, Alundra.  You always could choose how many.

You have now been infected with Bird flu. Good day.

Re: ops

If you use a PC you can hover and drag to see how many is selected - but this doesn't work on Phone.  Default is max, like before.

Re: ops

there isnt really a reason to use less than max for the most part unless you are testing harder ops like nukes and hypno and want to check op defense with a lesser number using an easier op like find target planets

Re: ops

indeed or with the random fail factor, you'll lose less using a smaller amount. if your hitting a smaller target

Re: ops

really? I tought using more or less didn't mather on how much you loose, you always loose the 5% of total, or at least last time I checked.

Re: ops

And that made me forget about my other question about ops:
The FAQ says when I op someone smaller NW it's the agents/wizzies per NW that counts for being a succesfull op.
But when it's someone bigger NW then it's just the amount of agents/wizzies that counts.

The last I have found a bit unfair, I was able to infiltrate my target that was 20% bigger than me, meaning I had a lot more agents than him. In his news I saw he was building about the same amount of agents I was building so I upped my agent build even more, but afterwards, when infiltrate was over, I wasn't able to infiltrate him no more, while I was sure I had more agents per NW then him.
That made me go look up the guide and FAQ and was surprised to see how bigger NW was protected, it's logical that you have more agents/wizzies if you're bigger. Maybe that rule could come with a cap, say opping someone up to 35% bigger NW is still agents/wizzies per NW. That would make more sence to me for playing in supernova and would be more fun to target someone slightly bigger.

Re: ops

Problem with keeping the opper/nw rule Sks, is that it is easily conceivable to have someone join late, get jumped 10k wizzies, and have 95% of their nw be wiz.

Now the cap could make some sense...

Re: ops

SKS you would lose less because you would use less. instead of 100k you do a test with 30k. if you fail 30k you lose less overall then failing with 100k..

and its also good to test with FTP first because if you do fail you don't signal to your enemy that you are trying to op them and can wait tio build more units.

the agents default is 0 at the moment (The slider is on the far left). however on the magic page the default is the max (the slider on the far right).

Re: ops

Even tho agents display as 0 agents are used in the operation, in reality it uses the max amount available.
For some reason.
