I tried to take one planet and I took it, I wouldnt call that failing... as for the belittleling.... Those who still know me from a few years back will know I would not if I did not think you have it coming.

So, update is, that this guy clearly just intended to have war with an easy target - a player less than half his NW and then not doing anything.

Well, after calling him out on it, he finally attacked my unportalled planets that I had recently explored.

It seems he can't break my portals.  Why?

Well, he messaged me in private with messages purely intending to gloat over taking my unportaled planets, and put me down, insult me, and even said himself that he was saving for his EOR jump.

I am in doubt, should I keep saving for my EOR jump and just annoy you while I'm at it or use my savings to wipe you off the face off the map?

My reply was that players like him should be banned because they are killing this game and for him to stop messaging me.  His messages seem to be intended purely to harass, gloat, demean, degrade, etc..

But he replied saying just what it is that I've been saying is the problem, the only players left playing this game seem to be a core group of very malevolent, players prone to harass and degrade others:

It's clear his plan was to declare war against a smaller player, then don't do anything, allowing him to save for his EOR jump without having to worry about getting attacked by anyone, because if anyone did attack him, he could whine about how he was at war and how he was getting vultured.

Well, boo, hoo.  Really...

This guy should get no sympathy from anyone.

Anyway, my reply to him was:

The very sort of demeanor that has caused many players to leave.

The game is designed by people with your way of thinking, to make the game appealing to malevolent people like yourself, and not really anyone else.

Here's how it went.

I politely offered nap before I explored a system where he was portaled, to which Ragnar said no to nap and warned if I did explore he'd attack me.

So I didn't explore.

Later on, he broke a portal of mine and tried to take a system.  That's when I declared war.  He declared war back.  Then I cleared him from my system, eventually.

Then, well, nothing, really.

So, I can't really do anything about him.  He's too big.  I couldn't understand why he didn't just pummel me and take my planets.

I figure it's because I jumped fleet enough to defend my ports, and he doesn't want to jump fleet to clear them.  Says he's saving for EOR.

So, I think he's picked this war with a player half his NW so other people don't attack him while he saves for EOR jump.

He's clearly Xenox-minded player.

Xentia-minded players seem to be setting up on him now, which is gooooooooooood...

Player-ownership of a game, just like customer / employee ownership of a company, is not necessarily socialist.

Takeovers of such companies by consumer and employee strikes is likewise not necessarily socialist.  It can be done democratically, or according to principles of fascism, or principles of anarchism, or like any other ideological persuasion.

All I am doing is showing you and everyone the fact that the game is designed by bullies for bullies, appealing only to bullies, which is the vast minority of people, hence why it isn't attracting a large gaming community.

I am calling for change to this state of affairs, trying to do something about it by trying to start a xentia faction which is simply a group of players that play the game in such a way as to undermine and the bullying paradigm by which this game is designed to operate.

I'm trying to fix this game to make it more successful; to stop it from destroying itself.  To make it profitable, but profitable for players, not the bullies who have designed it and have thus resulted in its lack of success.

It's because you operate under the self-interest paradigm rather than the community-interest paradigm, and because you are angered by being proved wrong by facts pertaining to and analysis of the problem, and the presentation of ideas for solutions to such problems, because such solutions undermine your control of the design of the game, a form of control that was never democratic, but entirely and utterly undemocratic, be it fascist or socialist I have no idea, only that certainly it was not democratic.

What is with the resistance to what I'm doing here?  Where does such animosity and hatred for this idea come from?  It is a solution to the problem this game has been suffering from for years.

It should be embraced rather than subverted.  It's in the best interest of the game, albeit not in the best interest of the game concept designers' egos.

Swallow your pride already and legitimize Xentia and Xenox factions and take this game to the next level already.  Enough is enough.

The main reason is that I'm simply not having fun,

due to not having any chance against to win against larger NW players,
due to not having any chance and even being prohibited from helping lower NW players,
and due to knowing that the rest of round is about saving for EOR jump, which I think is boring - there shouldn't be an EOR at all.

How do I delete?

Did you design the game so players can't delete any more?  They can't even protest the inherent fallacy of the game design by deleting anymore.

We want to improve the game so that it serves the interest of the players (especially new players).

You have repeatedly refused.

For the love the game, you leave us no choice but to conduct a revolution to get you out of positions where your decision on any game-related matter counts for anything, which necessitates us buying this game and implementing DEMOCRATIC means by which the PLAYERS' interests are served, especially the interests of new players.

After Render and his fam pulled their mass-delete stunt last round, you guys have made the delete button vanish.  What an EXCELLENT way to solve the problem.
