Topic: travel times on map

I've seen it before in last round, and i have it again:

I'm portalled up (2ticks allready past) in a system.
The map however shows i'm still 4 ticks away from it. (by showing travelling time)
I have a system i want to attack and the map says i'm 7 ticks away from it
Now when i actually attack it says 4 ticks....
Last round i checked every tick if it's changing but it doesn't, i think i allready put this problem in the forum but i can't remember where i posted this.

This problem is in supernova

For how long is the map showing incorrect traveltimes? This function might be lumped in together with pop calculation which is once or twice a day. So it could take up to 24 hours after you completed the portal untill the map shows the correct traveltime.

E: Also, use the bugs forum. Maps dont get nearly as much love as bugs.

I have found my previous post and that was in bugs, seems like no one seem to care then, since there was no respons.
Maybe same for now.

Perhaps you are right about once or twice a day, but it is sometimes annoying!
You wanna attack someone, check the map, put on the traveltimes to get a good look how far you are from that fam systems and you see 4 ticks on a system you are in. Well you directly think too bad my portal hasn't finished yet and move on. Where it's not the case.
You can say click on the system you want to attack and there it will be the right travelling times IF and i repeat IF you press attack. This is getting very time-consuming then if you ask me.
So give the correct times every tick or just don't give them at all

PS: Move my thread to bugs or wherever it should be

lol, only this??  the game is degraded in general, there was a lot of things u were able to do in the old map, and faster.

The travel times in the new map never worked, it says things so stupid as travel times of 2 tiks where you have a portal.
Stefan tried to immitate a simple feature like the one mapgen has, and failed.  But now you kannot use mapgen either, you kannot use the old map, wiki arzhives were deleted, you kannot bookmark systems, you kannot kopy+paste important info, you kannot see an enemy NW with 1 klik, you kannot rekall units properly from planets, you get lost in the map trying to lokate a system (that later u kannot bookmark or set a zhekpoint in map)  ETZETERA

I don't see why it is so complicated to get travel times and fleets shown on map.  Is it because the code the game was originally written in was jumbled?

Maybe starting from scratch would be a better idea:  Just stop making changes to IC - just keep everything as it is, but start beta-testing IC2 on a different, albeit linked, website?

With the changes proposed by IC community, of course.

Wrong, Torqez has no akzess to the new map kode, its all restrikted to stefan, its like his new toy he doesnt want to share with other kids.
