Topic: Fun Games I have played recently
Bioshock Infinite which I started playing yesterday... awesome, some annoying rail ride areas but otherwise fantastic
The Bureau: X-Com Declassified which is a tactical fps. Retro and sci-fi game play makes for an interesting twist. Plot is unique but the mission count seems a little low. Also hard to keep teamies alive which may indicate I need a new strategy.
Deus-Ex: Human Revolution was a great game with a lot of fun. Very re-playable with many different options available.
Just Cause 2 is one of the biggest maps I have ever seen, if not the absolute biggest. A great engine but the plot is a bit wishy washy. Still destroying so many different objects and flying, driving, boating so many different vehicles (dozens!) is quite interesting. Did I mention you can blow up so many different things?
Lost Planet 3 is linear to a fair thee well but the action in a mech and the combat functions were really nice. Different combat environs, unique ice monsters and a decent plot was all fairly exciting. Hard level is just that... actually hard!
Mars: War Logs had a decent plot line, some great action, and melee... for fighting a space game melee did not take a back seat in this game.
X-Com Enemy Unknown was a tight tactical turn based game. A very well designed plot line built with sand box opportunities and team building. Very addicting for a lover of RTT games.
X3 Terran Conflict is one of my favorite games, with high re-playability. A very decent series of quest lines, two ex-pacs and sand boxing on a level to almost equal that minecraft thing... except in space with your space stations! Oh and huge fleets... yeah 100 fighters escorting 20 corvettes and 10 destroyers around 4 carriers... and the missiles flying everywhere as you take on the AI enemy...
Far Cry 3 has a bunch of side quests, main quests, and an interesting story line (lots of magic mushroom oh what do I see now moments). Harvesting animals for better equipment is not usually done in a 'modern' setting but they did it here with a decent way to introduce it. So many enemy bases.... so little time! Not for someone who can only play 30 minutes of a day most!!!
Endless Space is how Masters of Orion 3 should have been. Definitely worth returning to a lot!
I am currently waiting for X Rebirth to be out, prepaid and all on Steam. I am also looking at that new Might and Magic game as well.
So what games do you guys love, and why? And yes the thread is legal since it is all offline games.
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)
