Re: Internships

I never dropped out, I just got stopped from being in a major university straight out of Highschool.

Nor do I let it bother me except that I hate those two teachers.. I am earning $60,000 this year, and I shall have $10,000 saved up by the end of it (with all sorts of toys and such purchased up so I wont need for recreation)

My intent is quite the opposite of most. I am saving up for my college education. I shall get $30,000 and then pay my way to a decent home State University for up to my Masters Degree (I almost have enough credits for a Bachelors degree already)

Where there are some who seem to think education should be free, as should cars, homes, electricity... but I digress... there are some who think education should be free, but I am quite willing to pay my own way for my education.

and to stop the next question it will be a math major with engineering and physics minors.

Re: Internships

Einstein,

We are diametrically opposed in our views regarding, well, pretty much everything, Einstein.

If Harvard, MIT, Oxford, or any other prestigious university were to call me and offer me a full scholarship in a program of my choosing, pay be a salary of 75,000 for my time studying there, and guarantee me a position on faculty after the completion of my studies, I wouldn't accept.

The only way I might accept such an offer is if they guaranteed me a job in the field of study of my choosing with a company or organization of my choosing.  And I would base my decision as to which company or organization I would want to work for from the results of various ethical impact audits by various international, non-governmental, transparent, ethical impact rating agencies, none of which, of course, would attribute any university with anything close to a positive ethical impact rating due to the moral and cognitive bankruptcy of the academic establishment over the course of history and currently.

A slideshow that I think expresses the moral and cognitive bankruptcy inherent to the academic establishment over history and presently and the resulting moral and cognitively bankrupt civilization that has resulted:

I will take any bet that you will not get a degree in that... or anything close... Your understanding of physics and engineering is poor at best...

No, I'll continue participating / supporting the morally and cognitively bankrupt system as little as possible while at the same time share knowledge and ideas that might remedy the disaster which is civilization as we know it, such as:

Hopefully, one day, with continued work in this regard, even people like you, Einstein, will begin to base your lifestyle decisions primarily on ethical considerations.

Re: Internships

Xeno you are completely RIGHT, but why waste ur time trying to make Flint changes his mind?? he wont, there's a huge social/mental barrier between both of you, he will always tell you "work harder!", he will even tell you "work will make you free" (and you are smart enuf to know where & when that was showed).

You know that "elite" class you're talking about are taught, very early, to treat the others as inferiors beings, and that culture of contempt is deeply attached in their minds. You will never make them agree with the evidence, because you're speaking different languages.

Bet him $12 million dollars and go out and get the best paid associate's degree in the world

Sounds like you found Jesus, Einstein, and are living in a personal relationship with Him.  That's great!  Very happy for you.  When did you accept the Lord and become saved?

Re: Internships

"Xeno you are completely RIGHT, but why waste ur time trying to make Flint changes his mind??"

Render, I am not trying to change his mind.  I am trying to find a solution, a reasonable, effective course of action to remedy the systemic problems we have in the world.

Einstein's mind will be changed by facts he learns and personal experiences he has; I suspect that eventually he and I will both discover we are wrong in many regards.

Perhaps if we discussed more constructively, more honestly, and had authentic debate where each side has it as their mutually shared task to find solutions to the problems our civilization is facing, then, maybe, just maybe, we could come up with some good effective courses of action toward that end.

Re: Internships

Xeno God has made a mission for me, one I sought to reject, but now I am at peace. This is why I am always confident, I know more than others.

Let me say I tried, and failed, to change our coming future.

"Let me say I tried, and failed, to change our coming future."

Why hold back?  Why not give details?  How did you try and why did you fail?  Seems like you have given up trying again because you failed  How can you learn from your failure and how might you try again?
