talked with warsie - we came to conclusion that market was buggy at high value bids - also why there is a cap (massive) on qty of bid

Even if we don't remove the cap, it should be raised. 

Taking no other factors into account, the idea that food (100 per building) and iron/end/oct (1 per building) have the same cap is just dumb logistically. 

Taking other factors into account: Cf's make more, research bonus planets added, you can research rezzie production now, family sizes are different, player counts are different.... well point being, all of these things that could and have effected the market have changed...but the price cap hasn't been moved.
