Topic: dieing game

The reason most of the players left is that they moved on with life and although they wanted to play the they didn't have the time to sit in front of a computer for 18 hours a day, but now with technology at the stage where smart phones give you virtually everything your computer does but on a smaller screen and it fits in your pocket you are finding that players are slowly starting to return, using mobile devices to give them the active time required to play this game. Now the new layout you have created looks estheticly pleasing and it's apparently been based around mobile players which is what's in the forums alot, but this new look doesn't work properly on mobile devices the old simpler style worked better, mobile devices are alot more complex than a pc and there are several operating systems each individual as much as they are the same. To conclude if you want to aim towards mobile users it needs to be one of two things either simpler or a downloadable app OS specific.

You cannot have a progressive verb inflection after the letter "E".

Dieing. (X)
Dying.

Because of this mistake, I find you both unfit and unqualified to make a diagnosis nor a prognosis on the mortality of anything.

actually you can have "ing" after an E, for example refereeing
the rule you are trying to quote is that a silent E is removed before adding a suffix of any type. And in this case, doing so would result  in two I's next to each other so the I of die is turned into a Y.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.

But in American English we prefer to use "to be" with the noun to avoid the whole issue.

I'm gonna be referee.
I'm referee.
I was referee in that game.
I'm always referee.
I coulda been referee, but I preferred to be sober.
