Topic: Map Option

The new map takes forever to load on my computer. So long that I rarely use it, or at the very least, keep a tab with it open at all times. It would be nice to have the ability in our Preferences to set the map to only open in Simple Mode. Perhaps that would help increase the loading time.

Do I hear some Donuts Rumbling?

when u load the map. hit simple mode, every time u go back to it it should load simple mode automatically. at least thats what happens when i hit travel times and if i dont hit it again it stays on even after reloading.

what browser do u use? i used to use IE and it was garbage with the new map, i use Chrome now and have no problems. but it will take a little extra time to load but shouldnt be anything out of the ordinary.

Mac OS 10.7 and Safari browser. Every time I reload the map it defaults to the normal mode and then after it loads I can switch it to simple mode. Pretty sure that Chrome still is not 64 bit capable on the Mac OS X version.

try firefox,
since there aren't many plug-ins written for 64 bit browsers you should use the 32 bit version
yes the 32 bit programs run in a 64 bit system.
