Not to mention the new look is horrible on the eyes.  The new look doesn't look more modern at all, infact I'd say it went backwards, it's now a less organized, less functional, and messier looking layout.  Sometimes like in this case, simpler but more functional is better.  Some of the better functions from the old layout like in Jaguar's post are missing.  Having to scroll down just to reach the bottom of the side bar is silly too.  The new look really just looks like someone took a basic template off any free website making site and built the site and then added a few new pictures.  I'd definately prefer the ability to use the old layout.

I already added these as Feature Requests (in the Bugs post). + Rankings page back in Menu.

Ok Im not arguing the new look, as soon as its tweaked Ill be using it all the time.

But like ive said, I dont have a full sidebar, Meaning When I use it, I dont get all the game options.

I believe she means that the full  sidebar doesn't fit on her screen and she can't scroll down.

the 'foreign messages' is not very easy to read.
no real breaks inbetween messages.

where can i add a cordinate right on the side bar like i use to?

in the mobile version u cant see your gc and resources at the top

where is the link to fam news?

to get these simple functions u need to click far more buttons now and go searching.

Sure arby it looks like it belongs in 2013 but it sure dont function like it.

why on earth would u design this..

do u know on your smart phone this new lay out is much slower??? im not eveb making this up right now... i mean when your attacking on the go which most of  us do on our phones... clicking the number of units is super slow and its almost LAGGING....

im sure others can confirm this...

and the ones i stated above! about the rankins.. about the News... i mean simple things...

why have magic and  covert ops???? why make us click those 2 things when we use to be able to go to one screen and enter these numbers much faster?

foreign messages??? why not messages?? ya ya i know this one point im making is useless but there is a point... who ever designed it tried to go over board and make something seem advanced by the Wording of things... just cause u say foreign messages it doesnt make the game seem more advanced... messages r messages..

i feel these designs done by who ever are making the players who r loyal to this game work harder and get more annoyed...

its not convenient at all! and the design u made is SLOW!!! its a slower design! like go on your smart phone now! and try and do an attack and key in the number of units!! how effing annoying is that! i have S4 btw!

Having cords and the ability to type in a specific FAM # was also hindering the game...

Once its all been tweaked and fixed it will look great, and I know a lot.of hard work has been put into this. Obv people will complain because it needed a bit of testing first before it was implimented. I look forward to final result.

@Torqez, the menu doesnt load past my screen, so for example, I have more opitions to choose from when my phone is tilted upright, rather than on its side but still some are cutt off qnd are completely inaccessable to me. Im not sure how to get a screenshot,  or really explain it properly

The boxes added in the units page need to also be added to the science page. Its impossible to set the exact %'s on my phone sad

Out of curiosity, any time frame on full implementation of the new layout? I am curious also if, once the main bugs are sorted (and there seems to be no real new ones), if this layout will be open to new themes like the old one... As I remember most of those themes were developed by the player base - I think there was a competition at some point? Would be a good way to get new layouts/skins/themes for the new main layout/view


Just to be clear, I am aware that there is still time to go on getting the main layout just right, with some bugs still being fixed.

Would be good to standardise the site's layout - so the forum and wiki should look the same as the game: a universal top bar?
And a single logon for the game and wiki would be nice, with perhaps options to logon using either a Facebook or Google ID? Exisitng players can then have the option to tie their IC userid into FB/Google or keep a separate IC logon.
