Topic: Bug hunters, rejoice! POST NEW LAYOUT BUGS HERE!!!

Ladies, Gentlemen, and Nolio. We have a brand new design, and as a limited time offer we are offering double tag points for any bug finders that care to find bugs relating to this new layout. This will be only for bugs relating to the new layout!

List your bugs with the new layout in here and I will add points as they are verified.


List of Bugs/Fixes to work through:

  1. [Fixed] Cannot Scroll on the Old Map

  2. [Fixed] Cannot explore via Old Map

  3. [Fixed] Grey menu text too dark

  4. [Feature request] Perhaps re-add Coords for Old Map entry (like on old Sidebar)

  5. [Feature request] Add input box for Family for quick search (like on old Sidebar)

  6. [Fixed] Add manual Input box to all Slider Bars

  7. [Currently bugged] Cannot see number of units to build via Mobile from Slider Bar

  8. [Currently bugged] Toggle for Planets seems not to work on some browsers (works for Torqez on Firefox)

  9. [Feature request] Loss of shortcut links: Family News, Send Aid

  10. [Fixed] New Map:  Select Families isn't working

  11. [Currently bugged]Secondary Sidebar (for navigation) when pressing "right" arrow on key board

  12. [Fixed] Some people cannot access Forums

  13. [Fixed] Market page needs to be brought to new layout

  14. [Currently bugged] Planet Format Tool is not working (probably will be removed, anyway)

  15. [Currently bugged] Research Slider Bars default to 5, making the default already more than 100 and hard to total

  16. [Fixed]Research slider bars make it impossible on phone to set research percentages appropriately

  17. [Fixed] Add back Rankings Page to Menu

  18. [Fixed]Rankings Page no longer highlights your own Family + Yourself

  19. [Fixed] Some people, seem to have an issue auto-logging into Forum.

  20. [Fixed] Some people seem to be having an issue with systems not popping up when clicked on the new map

  21. [Fixed]Google Chrome issues for new map - No black background, doesn't scroll up and down, heart button and left and right button not working, when adding a selection system pictures are removed for a black image with a circle around it

  22. [Fixed] Family defense page is not set up matching other pages (text offset, different font, etc)

  23. [Fixed] On mobile phones the login screen extends over the news feed

  24. [Fixed] Family ranking link on family page doesn't work

  25. [Fixed] On the Family page there is no little grey line separating the Family Defense and Leader Option links.

  26. [Currently bugged] This list of links from Render

  27. [Fixed] Universe Page shows wrong statistics for player numbers.

The ability to input system coordinates in the sidebar and have that system open up is missing from this new layout.

Jaguar, I believe that was only a feature in the old Marble sidebar wasn't it? Might be more of an idea (or in the feedback thread) to add that back in perhaps?

Not a bug per se, but cash is listed as gold in the mouse-over on the top.  Also been a while now (even in the old UI) , but is the toggle button to select all in the advanced UI broken?

When using mobile

Can't choose the exact number of units I wanna build when using my mobile?? Is all a ruff guess really for example

It says I can build 800bombers with my cash so to build 400 I just need to move the bar half way, but when it's say 25765 and I wanna build 200 then I can't possible work this out when using the scroll bar as it does not indicate how much u are about to buy???

Artea, you lost me, UI?

And Matthang, points awarded. However, the bar is a feature rather than a bug. It should also indicate as you scroll how many units you are building.

This is a biggie and I'm unable to play properly till this Is fixed, I have 24hours of saving to do and then this MUST be fixed or ill be fighting with a handicap and only win half as good lol

Also many tag points plz, pluss more tag points for the example I gave so double points....and if your feeling generous ill take triple points:)

It says for example

200/ 8000 which means I own 200 of this type of unit and I can build 8000 but when I move the bar it just does not say any think, I just tested it so I moved the bar half way and was able to buy 4 explos out of a possible 8 then moved the bar full and buy another 4 which was max, but I can't know what I'm buying when I mass amounts, just need a number some where telling me and then the feature will be fine

Hmm, you are correct. I had to pull out my phone to check it, that teaches me for not reading carefully enough. When you use it on computer it pops a number up as you drag the bar, the phone setup doesn't seem to do the same. Good spotting Matthang

Hi Gwynedd,

Under the planets menu while in "Advanced Mode", it allows you to select multiple planets.
At the bottom of the checkboxes is a toggle button, which is meant to select all.
I have tested this in three browsers and the only one that appears to work is chrome. Opera, and Internet Explorer both fail. I tried safari on my mobile and it also did not work, but that may be specific to the mobile platform. I suspect it's just one of the quirks of javascript across different platforms.

Right. Thanks for the screenshot. I click that link and it works okay. Does it throw back any errors when you click it? Also, I did notice in the dev gal that at extremely high planet counts it does get laggy to toggle.

No errors, it just doesn't toggle them. It's not that huge of an issue, since I tend to avoid building on everything at once anyway. I just wanted to mention it. Cheers.

I assume you are talking about where the news feed is down the bottom? Aware of, and tagpoints added.

It was in marble as well as one other sidebar. Call it an idea or a bug but for me, and I assume many others, it's a must have. So I'd appreciate it if it was made available asap.

Also direct linkes to fam news, aid page and fam forum are no longer there (were there in marble)
And once you click on forum, and browse some threads there's no direct link to go back to the game play screen(s)

Also opens fine for me hmm Though I do notice that it appears to be too low down the page to close a system once you open it.

inside map i cant get specific family to highlight i can click my systems and it will highlight my systems but doesnt work for specific family, or is it a VIP perk?

Again, that feature seems to work for me. Have you selected the fam you want to highlight from the dropdown list?
