Topic: David Vs Goliath

David defeated the mighty Goliath with a small stone to the head, can players in IC defeat or compete with Goliath.

The family bank system we all know is an economical powerhouse, but actually when it comes to the military side of this system, It is extensively weak.

So actually although the fam bank has the big bucks, having a small, effective team can also compete.

I kind of think that families using this family bank system are going too far with economic dominance, so much so that it becomes wasted, or simply thrown back into more economy making their size too big for planet gains.

A simple team can consist of 1 banker, who is smart enough to defend himself with high planet counts and can maximize cash production without being too highly OB.

A Wardancer, who can dually operate between research and resource production.  The Camaar is not useful here, wardancer has the opps, the attack power, the warcry to remain planet fat but deadly.

A SS Partaxian who can support his own upkeep + some, and make resources that combined with the wardancers = 1 resource player.

The early stage is simple, the wardancers donates all planets to the banker, the Banker get fat fast, and the pax just builds himself.

Once the banker is fat enough and producing income that tops a family banks top banker, the wardancer becomes the power player of the round, They MUST have a strong fleet, and must maintain and grow that fleet ALL round, the wardancer must never drop NW, but only gain.  This way he becomes untouchable without having other attackers jump to fight him.  Which in fam bank systems, most just go for easy options.

The Secret behind this success comes from the opp support from the pax, and the opp support from the banker (must be custom) and also the op support from the wardancer,  ALL have portal opp, FF or SAB, and will use them to fight bigger families.  The wardancer is not a speed demon, he must be smart and tactical when fighting opponents.

The family bank system fails where they are trying to upkeep all resourcers and attackers, as well as making sure each member has sufficient defence.

In the team, the pax is SS so maintains their fleet,  the banker maintains his fleet and the wardancer is given all the produce to enjoy.  He himself would benefit more richly than his enemy.

The bigger family has the economical power, but against this team would not be victorious,  the smaller family doesnt need big economic, it just needs to have a enough of an economical flow to support its attacker, build it's planets at a lower OB, and natually be much fatter and have much more planet gaining potential.

I like, should give some sort of inspiration to smaller fams, because yes, smaller fams can make things happen

Re: David Vs Goliath

It is a good ezample yes, but still the banker kan be raided by an enemy attaker and opped, they kan krumble at a minimum mistake, like portaling where he shouldnt, miss to build the required wizards daily, etz...

I'd do the threesome with a Quantum instead of a Wardanzer, to do zheap and fast infra jumps for the banker.

Re: David Vs Goliath

If you use a Quantum, you have no attacker....
The banker is alone yes, but being alone it means he only has to support himself, he can have a really strong defence.  This system doesn't incorporate share wars, thats not an option, so enemy attackers will not be close enough for an effective raid if the banker is smart enough.

Re: David Vs Goliath

I'm not saying your setup is bad at all, I won 2 PW rounds with a base of 3 aktive guys just, all I say is that it requires a lot of hard work to prevail over bigger fams, and my setup was 1 quantum banker, 1 paz and me as kustom attaker.  There are other options of kourse, but YES it is possible to fight bigger fams with a solid kore and 3 aktive and koordinated players.

This looks vaguely familiar tongue
